i did that repair about 10 years ago but I¡¯m pretty sure I used 1 inch wide doouble sided 3 m tape. ?I redid the entire piece. ?Make notes on placement.?
I think I had to cut it width-wise a bit which is fun,due to its stickyness, and as I recall I cleaned up the area as well as possible on both the rubber and van. I don¡¯t recall what I cleaned it (probably alcohol, goo gone,elbow grease and who knows what) with but I recall that being the time consuming part. It¡¯s still on tight. YMMV. Happy trails.
