2000 Eurovan Camper. A few weeks ago I noticed something odd with the
starting behavior (turn key, no start on occasion) and replaced the
ignition switch. I thought that solved the problem, however, I think
that wasn't the actual issue, since I'm on the road now and a new behavior
has emerged: Turn the key, start the van and it runs fine, but the
dashboard remains dark (all gauges off except for the BRAKE light which is
illuminated), the windshield wipers don't work. A few days ago this was
intermittent - if I restarted the van again a couple of times it would
work normally, but this morning it seems like the failure mode is not
going away.
Does the Eurovan have a "load reduction relay" that powers all of these
circuits? Which relay # is it? I have a voltmeter, small toolkit, and a
laptop so could probably get VCDS Lite running (if that would help
diagnose).
