Well, my mechanic used his VagCom to reset the throttle body after my EV
started rush like crazy from a stop.....As for the TCU, I¡¯m using this procedure
below and it works fine all the time....I even showed that procedure to a member
of our Eurovan/Westfalia Group here in Canada whose transmission was always
shifting past 3500rpm and it worked for him also...Now it¡¯s shifting near
2800-3000rpm....Here¡¯s the procedure you can try safely:
1-Turn key on (without starting the van)
2-Push gas pedal to the floor 10 sec.
3-Hold gas pedal to the floor and turn key off.
4-Now let go off the gas pedal.
5-Turn key on again for 5 min. (you can be doing something else while
waiting)
6-Start the car, touching nothing.
7-Test drive on the road.
***You¡¯ll notice that the gears shift more easily and evenly !!! Let me
know the feedback ...
