Re: super11.....excess V10P?
Illinois. The machine is pristine. It came with a 3 jaw. and that is about it. It must have had a bunch of other stuff that is lost amongst the boxes... The guy sent me boxes of random lathe parts;

Re: super11.....excess V10P?
Would this be the recent Ebay machine from Indiana? I'm currently sorting through an almost new 11 from a public school. Seriously well built machine. Makes my old 9x20 and Atlas 12x36 seem like toys.

super11.....excess V10P?
My long quest for a super-11 has finally ended. I managed to get a pristine unit indirectly from a machine-shop that closed. When I finally get it up and running I will probably be parting with my

Re: Upload of files
Ok I have sent the file to you by pm. See what you can do with it, I only got about 8% compression with winzip, seems like there is no problem uploading files around the 1.5Mb size but these 4Mb babes

Re: toolposts
I also considered installing a riser on the head and tails stocks. Anyone have thoughts on this? Does anyone know someone who did this already to their Emco. Eric wrote: That I

Re: Upload of files
Since I'm waiting for the file anyway, you could email it to me and let me fight with it for awhile. I should be able to figure out something. My mailbox can handle the file size, even if yahoo can't.

I am trying to upload a file that I had archived off of the old Super 11 site, the file is 4Mb in size but every time I try to upload it Yahoo says that it contains no data, it does and I have also

Add-ons to the V10P
I am thinking of changing the start - stop & maybe the forward - reverse to a lever on the carriage. Has anyone done this? I would like to share ideas. Also, I would like to add a brake? Anyone have a

Re: toolposts
I like your idea of removing the compound slide for the QCTP. That makes things cleaner to install the QCTP. Any recommendations on where to buy an AXA (100) QCTP in Ontario, Canada at a reasonable

Re: toolposts
I was just looking at this. It looks like the it would work, if we could do something about the diameter of the handwheel on the compound. If you lower the compound much the handwheel is going to

Re: toolposts
I have a V10P. I was considering changing the base under the compound slide to lower it down. I would very much like to change to a quick change toolpost, but the AXA (100) series QCTP are too high.

I remember from the old group that there was a link to a mix for matching the paint. Does any body know it? Thanks -A

If you find one let me know. Is yours locked shut? I have two cabs (for c8 and V10p) and they are open..but no key so they kept swinging open till I put some magnets on them -A

Desperately waiting for a copy of the super 11 service parts manual. Does anyone know how to fabricate a key for the super 11 cabinet locks, or have some good pics of one? wrote:

Re: toolposts
I have run into the toolpost problem too. The compound is just too tall for a nice quick change post. I have a Harding L18 dovetail tool post that I thought would be just perfect. As it turned out, I

Re: Leak (?) in feed gear box
Almus, I just went through this exercise. I have a V13 and the manual calls out Mobile DTE Light for the gear box. This is a European standard so I called Chevron to get the US equivalent for the gear

Re: Leak (?) in feed gear box
I think that I overfilled my gear box; this is the "Norton" qc gearbox not the head stock. My manual specs 140wt lube for threading/feed gear box and I think 20wt for the head stock. The head stock
