I have a V10P. I was considering changing the base under the compound
slide to lower it down. I would very much like to change to a quick
change toolpost, but the AXA (100) series QCTP are too high. By
making the change, I think I could gain about 1/2" on the height.
Anyone done this?

I am going to look at a KDK 0 series. They appear
very well made and seem like they wouldn't be too big.
KDK also makes a 00 series which may even be too small
