Hi I remember this topic got kicked around on the
Old site... but.
Is there an off-the-shelf quick change toolpost
that fits the V10 and the S11 lathes?
previous owner of my V10P had put on an Aloris 100 series
toolpost...but I couldn't even get 3/8" toolbits
to get low enough to be on center. I had to machine the toolholder
bottoms (to the tune of 0.140").. However I can't really
do enough for the cut-off toolholder as the cut off
blade is 1/2" AND it is held at an upward sloping angle.
Does the KDK 0 series do it? I seem to recall that their
website claims that that series can handle 0.75" and
larger base to lathe center. I was wondering
how much +/- there is in that 0.75" because
that is about how much the distance is on the V10P.
