Changed the oil and filters in my cruising boats
diesel. Normal spring maintenance. The diesel has about
the same effective hp as the electric motor in my
launch. I like to keep fresh filters and oil aboard so I
picked up the replacements today. Total cost of 2 fuel
filters, 1 oil filter and 1 gal. of oil:
$42.04.<br><br>For that amount of electricity Amber can go 2,402
mi.! We electric boaters are onto something here!

propulsion system (including the batteries and charger) cost
about 2/3 of what that diesel cost Well, I can only
say that Im sorry I hadnt learned about the
beauties of electric boating a few years ago when I pulled
the old diesel out of the cruising boatand replaced
