Using a power supply when there is a battery connected is not the right solution. A power supply works great on circuits without batteries delivering perfect voltage. Once a battery is added, then a charger is used.?
Check with your solar controller as to maximum voltage from the solar panel. I have a dedicated 40v panel charging one of my 12v batteries. My other 12v battery is charged with a 48v/12v DC/DC charger.?
