I've been involved in intense discussions with the Electric Boat Association today, and we have unanimously agreed to back the migration of this group into Io groups, if that is what you all want.
The advantage we have is that we are the oldest not-for-profit electric boat groups around, and we have proper official stuff like a bank account and so on: so it will be in safe hands.
This has all been a bit of a rush, but the EBA absolutely supports this group, and we will help all we can , including with hard cash.
However, we do need to form a group of moderators to run it: this is YOUR group, not ours, so I am looking for volunteers willing to help run the new group to stand forward.
In the long run we need a sustainable business model, but that can wait for now.
Lets just do it!
