I think my question has been answered and more. There are definitely issues that need to be ironed out to make the Chapter more assessable to everyone. I will bring a collaboration of thoughts forward at the next meeting next Tuesday. I will post findings in this forum as a new topic. Thank you all for your participation.

Good morning Blake!? Thank you for the clarification.? A different terminology that I am not accustomed to.? Email seems to work for most folks, me included.? I am currently active on a couple of other forums.? The "forum" method seems to work well for the very large group of folks world-wide.? Everyone can monitor and have the option to participate/communicate to all other "members" with a simple post that all have the ability to view via their own email.?
I do not make many meetings either, I have requested that the meetings be scheduled for a more favorable time for some years now.? The current late morning "meeting" time is definitely NOT favorable for folks that still work for a living, attend school, or essentially are NOT retired.? My manifestation is that the EAA is basically dying, although the current meeting time might be suitable for the predominantly retired, older crowd, it is challenging for younger folks who still work, attend school, or have other like obligations.??
Thankfully I was able to make the EAA Christmas dinner, I can often make a Saturday hanger clean-up, or other?events?scheduled?on Saturday.? I can rarely attend a meeting scheduled at 11:30 on a week day, which is the currently scheduled meeting time.? Also, I do not see my situation changing until I retire, a morning meeting time is simply not?conductive?to the younger crowd being able to attend.

Here is my $.02 worth --?
I get the chapter emails that come out about meetings -- These don't come from this platform.? I get the messages that come from this group.? I don't get any text messages related to meetings/activities/lunches/flights.? I'm not aware of a way to "sign-up" for text messages and am not aware of a way to set text messages to the group.? I think our problem is that we don't have an "official" communication method that everyone can use.? Without that, I don't think that we will ever have affective communication.? This platform would work well for me if it was the one and only way we send out messages.? If we have multiple ways of doing it, we will always be leaving some out.? I think that Teams, Google, etc would also work, but we need something and just one.? I also think that it would be fine for the chapter to pay for something.? I think that the chapter has plenty of money that a small yearly subscription fee for a good platform would be fine.
To be honest, I have been questioning my continued membership in the chapter.? Maybe it is just that I don't get much communication, but I haven't seen that we have done much.? Again, maybe there are a lot of things going on that I'm not aware of, but I haven't seem much except for the monthly meeting that occurs at a time that I can only make about half the time.? I want to fly places, attend safety seminars, take some "Young Eagles" out, learn how to work on/build planes by helping others, etc.? If we are doing these things, I don't know about them.??
So, to sum up this rant, I think this platform would be great, IF we went all in, used all the features, and made it our official way of communicating.? What we are currently doing leaves me out of the loop much of the time.

I do not make many meetings either, I have requested that the meetings be scheduled for a more favorable time for some years now.? The current late morning "meeting" time is definitely NOT favorable for folks that still work for a living, attend school, or essentially are NOT retired.? My manifestation is that the EAA is basically dying, although the current meeting time might be suitable for the predominantly retired, older crowd, it is challenging for younger folks who still work, attend school, or have other like obligations.??
Thankfully I was able to make the EAA Christmas dinner, I can often make a Saturday hanger clean-up, or other events?scheduled?on Saturday.? I can rarely attend a meeting scheduled at 11:30 on a week day, which is the currently scheduled meeting time.? Also, I do not see my situation changing until I retire, a morning meeting time is simply not conductive?to the younger crowd being able to attend.

The boat club holds workshops at different folks homes. Mostly weekends. Our meetings should be strategy sessions on future events. Why not get a group to fly out to other EAA events.
