I agree even though retired. I have belonged to another group for many years that incudes NRV and Roanoke members. .? We meet for breakfast at 8:30 Saturday mornings.? We rotate to several locations that can accommodate a group.? Mac and Bob in Salem is one of them.

Good morning Blake!? Thank you for the clarification.? A different terminology that I am not accustomed to.? Email seems to work for most folks, me included.? I am currently active on a couple of other forums.? The "forum" method seems to work well for the very large group of folks world-wide.? Everyone can monitor and have the option to participate/communicate to all other "members" with a simple post that all have the ability to view via their own email.?

I do not make many meetings either, I have requested that the meetings be scheduled for a more favorable time for some years now.? The current late morning "meeting" time is definitely NOT favorable for folks that still work for a living, attend school, or essentially are NOT retired.? My manifestation is that the EAA is basically dying, although the current meeting time might be suitable for the predominantly retired, older crowd, it is challenging for younger folks who still work, attend school, or have other like obligations.??

Thankfully I was able to make the EAA Christmas dinner, I can often make a Saturday hanger clean-up, or other events?scheduled?on Saturday.? I can rarely attend a meeting scheduled at 11:30 on a week day, which is the currently scheduled meeting time.? Also, I do not see my situation changing until I retire, a morning meeting time is simply not conductive?to the younger crowd being able to attend.

I hope you have a GREAT day!

Ron

Apologies. Me for example, I have been in the EAA for multiple years but due to school it is hard to me to attend in person meetings or know about events. Mike is referring to switching forums to a location(website) where all members can participate with ease and have a collaborative calendar. I haven't known of any event EAA has done other than the last potluck dinner. Does this make since now.?

I am just making a demo one to present in the next meeting to see what members would think.?

I am confused "location" for a meeting? "location" for what, DOES NOT EVERY MEMBER NOT already have and use email?? I am NOT understanding!

Ron I believe he is trying to find a more user friendly location where we can hopefully include more members of the chapter.

Mike:? What is wrong with our NEW forum, why do we need another means of communication besides this forum?? The forum seems very adequate to me.? If you have too many means of communication, there will be confusion and a loss of congruence between the methods of communication.

My opinion for what it is worth!

I downloaded the program to the iPad. When I tried to sign in it took me to the Civil Air Patrol website to sign in. Am I doing it right? Is team like Zoom? I¡¯m sorry I will look at a YouTube video on it and see where that takes me.

So personally for Civil Air Patrol we utilize Microsoft Teams and I have been told it is the most secure option for communication and relaying messages. I can make a group and send out a link to it today. The catch is that you need a Microsoft account to access the team. We¡¯ll see if that runs us into any road blocks.?
