Hi Duncan,
Tried without the choke with success.

Hi Duncan,
Attached simulations with PSUDII of the PSU not giving enough power? but real world not enough power, any idea why?
Thanks & regards
Felipe

Hi Felipe,
This is the old version so the previous advice will not help you. Could you please email your rectifiers.txt file to me at postmaster@... and I will take a look at it for you, thanks. Regards, Duncan ?

Hi Felipe,
?
I ran this circuit with the choke through LTSpice and it gives 323.2 Volts, quite close to the results you are getting from PSUD.
?
PSUD might be getting confused by the very low value or R on the final RC filter (0.75 ohms) but other than that, the results look OK.
?
When you say not enough power, what are you seeing from your real world circuit?
?

Duncan

Hi Duncan,
Yes not enough power for my real world circuit, when I use CCS as anode load maximum can get is 26mA so 13mA per channel in place of 30mA per channel.
Thanks & regards
Felipe

Hi Felipe, Thanks for the feedback. My suggestion would be to measure the voltage before the choke and after the choke, please do these for both on load and off load it might point to what is going wrong. Hi Duncan,
Isn't the choke because connected without the choke & problem remains.
Thanks for help & regards

Hi Felipe,
?
I'm unsure of what further help I can offer; PSUD seems to give the right numbers against LTSpice, so based on the information you have provided, the supply should give 60mA at 323 Volts or so.? All I can suggest is checking each component in turn to check for failure as part of the fault finding routine.
?
Start at the beginning, test the transformer off load then with a light bulb attached - check the AC voltages in both cases. Check that the rectifiers are giving a reading in one direction on an ohmmeter, but not in the other. Check the capacitors with an ohm meter for shorts (sometimes the dielectric can puncture).

Hi Duncan,
Thank you, could adding more capacitance to the PSU be the solution?

Hi Duncan,
I'm using a bleeder resistor of 100K to discharge the capacitors of the raw PSU, could be a problem?

Hi Felipe,
?
"Thank you, could adding more capacitance to the PSU be the solution?"
"I'm using a bleeder resistor of 100K to discharge the capacitors of the raw PSU, could be a problem?"
?
I've already offered some advice on troubleshooting to take this forward. No disrespect, but I'm not looking to type the same reply out again.
?
As this is clearly not a PSUD2 related issue, I'm closing the topic.

Duncan
