Re: Planning to use Kenwood D710 & RPi for iGate gateway
David, Understood... my equipment will be in a upstairs room and I operate out of my downstairs office so I don't have any requirement to physically see the iGate equipment. -- Mike - K5MAP

Re: Planning to use Kenwood D710 & RPi for iGate gateway
Technically, no. Direwolf have all the required functionality to support all aspects of APRS, APRS-Igating, beacons, telemery, etc. To be clear though, Direwolf doesn't support APRS messaging or

Re: Need help. IC-7100 on RPi3B not keying.
I suggest that you move this discussion to a new topic since it has nothing to do with the IC-7100 not keying. Given what you appear to be doing, there is really no need for the old TNC's. You can run

Max: ?This was 17 months ago and I am not sure that direwolf worked well enough. I recall getting ARDOP working. I don't have a working TNC, so all successes were with 'soft' modems. Attachment.

Re: Need help. IC-7100 on RPi3B not keying.
1. If you are talking Raspberry Pi and a BBS, consider G8BPQ's pilinbpq. I have used my IC-7100 and Raspberry Pi with G8BPQ's pilinbpq. 2. IMHO and for future reference, ?'*Raspberry Pi*' and '*BBS*'

Re: Need help. IC-7100 on RPi3B not keying.
I'll be honest, I think you are much better off with a USB-to-RS232 device than a level shifter and going to the Pi3's internal UART.The USB device is probably cheaper than the level shifter.? It is

A few questions to help starting in the right direction: 1. Which Kantronics TNC's are you using (KPC3, 9612+, ???)? 2. Are you trying to use the BBS built into the TNC or setting one up external to
