Direwolf's AGWPE Api support is limited to unconnected / UI packets only. That works for for APRS but not for connected sessions to say packet bbses, pbbs's, etc. Ldsped's api support does support connected sessions.
Btw, email the ldsped author and he will send you the source code if you need it.
