I'd say surface finish. If you clamp a casting onto your face plate and run the tool across it you'll see various patterns as the SFM changes. Take that same casting and use a fly cutter on your mill

I also run the Auto Artisans ELS and have been very pleased with it and use it daily on my U.K. Warco lathe. Saves messing about with those messy changewheels plus many other advantages. Thank you

Forgot to add. RELS and CNC The DDCS CNC controller can also be used on my Real Bull mini lathe, utilizing only the X and Z axis movements of the 4? axis. Just swap out the 2 x stepper motor wires
