Thanks, my encoder is variable. I can do 30 - 3000 ppr.
With the 74LS86 is the output variable or just doubled?
Why was this needed for RELS?
I wonder if the pulse would be cleaner/sharper.

When a quadrature encoder is used for speed measurement this doubles the
resolution.? A 200cpr encoder can be used at 400 counts per revolution.
