Re: D-RATS & AX25 (9600 baud question)
Hi Dan, OK so the next stage up from ax25 / packet radio is to put the old TNC in kiss mode and from Linux assign an IP address to the radio interface. In Ham radio we have ampr.org which is a full

Re: D-RATS callsigns
I have on several occasion setup a network with many different computers running D-Rats. I typically use KA8JMW, KA8JMW-1... D-Rats users then sees each of these as unique stations. Ed KA8JMW

Re: D-RATS & AX25 (9600 baud question)
We're in the same place, then. I have made a tnc work on d-rats, but cannot make it work on a ratflector. I don't understand your question about "44 IP". Dan W4DTO

Re: D-RATS & AX25 (9600 baud question)
sorry tnc to d-rats only not the ratflector... The DV dongle is more proof of concept, its the only D-Star item I have access to at this time, so think of it as a radio (to be bought at

Re: D-RATS & AX25 (9600 baud question)
I had hoped that it could be an easy fix, but I haven't been able to get anywhere with it. Everyone we have talked to (including the developer) about it has said that there is not much developing

Re: D-RATS & AX25 (9600 baud question)
Ok thanks for the reports I will test again too and let you know if i get the same issues. I did report back on the dv-dongle in the repeater and that DID NOT work either. Works fine in the d-rats

Re: D-RATS & AX25 (9600 baud question)
I have tried this with both a Kantronics TNC and AGWPE, and I cannot make the AX25 piece work on the ratflector app. ?AX25 seems to work with the DRATS client. ?I think there may be a bug in the

D-RATS callsigns
John and the group,You have swerved into something I have tried to warn users about. You can have the same callsign on more than one instance of D-RATS, but please don't turn them on at the same time.

It is a known bug. If the connection to a ratflector is lost for any reason, d-rats goes into this CPU loop condition. Sometimes this is caused by a network provider killing idle sessions, in which
