Re: running local rat proxy not working?
开云体育Try running a d-rats client on another computer on your LAN an try to connect to your ratflector using its local LAN address (the IP address of the PC running d-rats_reflector) and see if that works.? If it does, have someone outside your LAN try and connect using your routers address. Mike, N0SO PS:? Question: you have been selecting "on" each time when starting up d-rats_repeater, correct? Re: running local rat proxy not working?
Try this: Stop all instances of D-RATS running on machines on your local network. On the machine running the repeater, delete all connections in the D-RATS program except the one for localhost (127.0.0.1). In the repeater program,?delete?any devices you may have added and check the boxes for trust local host and allow incoming connections. That is as stripped down as you can get. Finally, click the On button. Everything in the window should turn gray except for the Off button.

Re: running local rat proxy not working?
开云体育There is a "trust local host" control in d-rats_repeater configuration. If it is checked and it's still not connecting from localhost, then something on the local machine is blocking or interfering with the connection. Mike, N0SO On Jan 9, 2014, at 8:12 AM, <mm.barrett@...> wrote:

开云体育Can you connect to it on port local host (127.0.0.1) running a d-rats client on the local host? Mike, N0SO On Jan 8, 2014, at 9:04 AM, <mm.barrett@...> wrote:

Re: D-RATS email to winlink.org address
Data points: - I have tried //WL2K in the Subject:, no joy. - The D-STAR gateway is clearly *sending* the mail out, as it is arriving in my "sent mail" folder on my gmail account.?? Also, if I simply send email to any *other* email address on the internet - foo@... - that arrives at the destination just fine. Boo :-( |
Re: D-RATS email to winlink.org address
Try adding //WL2K at the beginning of the subject. ?

Re: D-RATS email to winlink.org address
Someone on the reflector must have SMTP or Winlink gateway set up. With password for access.

Re: D-RATS email to winlink.org address
Brian, Can you do a quick test by prepending the subject line with //WL2K? You mentioned using the gmail account settings, but it's possible it may not appear to be coming from that same account when you send it through d-rats.

Re: D-RATS email to winlink.org address
Yes, the winklink.org address is valid. I can send to it from my gmail account, using the web interface to gmail, and all works fine. When I send from D-RATS, with the email addressed only to that CALL@... address, it sends from D-RATS.? My D-RATS is configured to use my gmail address.? Gmail sees the sent mail, it is sitting in my gmail account's "sent" folder.?? However, the mail never seems to arrive at the Winlink account I am sending to.?? |
Re: D-RATS email to winlink.org address
Is the?Winlink.org email address valid?? Did you send the email to?just one email address? ?

D-RATS email to winlink.org address
I'm trying to do something seemingly simple, and it is stumping me: I'm trying to send an email from D-RATS to a CALLSIGN@... W2K email address. I'm not trying to send it *over* winlink from the machine/radio running D-RATS. I'm just sending it as regular email to the W2K email address, just as I might do from any other boring email client, and the W2K system then absorbs it and it should be on its way and delivered. If I send it from D-RATS, over either RF or the Internet, the email leaves the D-RATS outbox and is sent, however it never seems to show up in the W2K inbox. Any thoughts? |

Still no joy ... called comcast, they do not block port 9000. When I try from the wan I get time out, from lan side I get connection refused. Linux and windows machine behave the same way. does not matter where I put the proxy server. I can connect to the ref.d-rats.com without issue. Really have not idea what is blocking the connection. any other ideas are welcome. 73 de mike |
