hi!
so, from your log the only error related to openweather that i see is this one:
IOError: [Errno socket error] [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:581)
After googling, I think this is something?related to SSL at Windows10 level, not sure how to fix?it.
the only hint i can give is to remove the "s" from https: got to? ? ? ?file->preferences->CHAT Edit the openweather uri changing http:// into http://
in my case, on windows 10, it works in both cased (with and without the s)
hope this?helps maurizio

I am attaching the log for your inspection. There are several errors that occur including when the TX of WX was forced. Thanks for looking this over. ? Ciao, Jack ¨C KD4IZ ? ? I tested Yesterday night the openweather on a newly installed d-rats on Windows 10 (regularly updated via Microsoft) and... It worked using both Milan Italy and New York usa forecasts. Can you check the debug log file to s¨¦e what happens when It tries? contacting openweather? In case of errors it should say something about getting refused connection or invalid data received or invalid invokation of some module (in case it is missing)? By the way i had some other? struggles in getting d-rats starting on the new pc.? Although i was launching d-rats program as administrator,? the Windows 10 was not giving It enough permissions ti create files so It was n¨°t saving the config file at all and crashing before opening the graphic interface I solved forcing to "execute always as administrator" in the file options of the d-rats exe file. It's the first time I get into this, maybe someone has a better solution ? Il gio 30 set 2021, 20:13 Jack Spitznagel (KD4IZ) <kd4iz@...> ha scritto: Hello Maurizio, ? I have been using 0.3.9 since it was released. I previously had the weather feature set up and working. I had not tried it since the release of 0.3.9. It no longer works, so I am guessing that either: 1) the way that sends the data has changed so that the data parse function does not result in a usable text, or 2 )that something else (a Java/JSON translator .dll???) needs to be installed and loaded by the system. I hope my inquiry makes sense. My test below suggests that my second guess might be correct, because Glen, KG5CEN and Ricardo, CT1EBQ can successfully send a weather string. They may be using Linux or Raspberry Pi OS. Daryl and I are using Windows 10. ? Any additional hints or thoughts about this? ? Jack Spitznagel ¨C KD4IZ Science River LLC Biomedical Consulting Services ? My city string is (Hampstead,md,us) and I have a valid API Key. I have used several permutations of the location string in D-Rats v0.3.9 and they all result in no output. My text QST¡¯s are sent correctly. ? When I use a browser to send the API url, location, and my key from the URL box like this: <insert your own API key here> I get the following Raw Data: {"coord":{"lon":-76.85,"lat":39.6048},"weather":[{"id":802,"main":"Clouds","description":"scattered clouds","icon":"03d"}],"base":"stations","main":{"temp":292.27,"feels_like":291.78,"temp_min":289.85,"temp_max":295.09,"pressure":1005,"humidity":59},"visibility":10000,"wind":{"speed":3.58,"deg":311,"gust":8.94},"clouds":{"all":40},"dt":1633022817,"sys":{"type":2,"id":2032439,"country":"US","sunrise":1632999762,"sunset":1633042304},"timezone":-14400,"id":4357279,"name":"Hampstead","cod":200} With temperature given in Kelvin, other units are metric. The Firefox JSON translator correctly tells me that it says: ![]()

?The maps data is working fine now...but I can't get the OpenWeather data to work. Under File -> Preferences -> Chat, for the OpenWeather uri, it has
? In the box for OpenWeather appid, do I need to add the ?apikey= statement, or just the code/id (with numbers and letters)??
? Then, for the location, what values can I use there?? I looked at the OpenWeatherMap website, and it mentioned I could use a zip code (native to the United States), or possibly a latitude/longitude (I don't recall the message now). Previously, I thought I had the ID for my city (LITTLE ROCK,AR,US) -- but now, it won't show up in the QST or the chat window when I click on it. I originally had it going out at 15 minutes past the hour, once the new weather observation was in...as I figured once an hour was plenty.
? On another note, I was using the GPS-A deal to send out my location, as it's for my QTH, a static location. Is that the right parameter under the QST's to send that out?? The only way I see it on is if I search for my callsign. If I just type in my city "Little Rock, AR", my data doesn't show up.
