What is CPK-3? 4
Hi Matt, I suppose CQ-DL is already published as I have noticed many new subscribers from Germany. Can you show me a photo or snapshot of your article? Thanks, Adam

CPK-3 mod 2
The advantage of the CRK-3 kit is that it is inexpensive. The SPAN resistor offers an inexpensive way to change bands. Looking at the table of frequency SPAN Chart, I decided to order some resistors and a 10 position switch. My overall cost was around $15 additional dollars. I may even add some LED's to identify the band. Attached is a picture of the assembled switch.

CPK-3 case 3
This is my first solution to a case. It works well but I have future plans coming as soon as some other parts arrive. Sent from Mail for Windows

CPK3 Receiver 7
I received my CPK3 in the mail after five weeks. I am not sure why it took so long; maybe because of holidays around the end of the year. All the parts were there and I assembled it. It worked the first time and for the few parts it¡¯s pretty amazing. I found a snack, plastic box at Family Dollar store. The box cost less than one dollar and was easy to use to mount the radio since it is plastic and easy to drill. The pictures below do not show the SMA connector and the extended antenna. I have been experimenting with using different resistors for my favorite band. I am especially interested in the short wave bands. The AM and FM broadcast bands work very well. I use a battery operated amplifier for listening in the speaker connection. 73¡¯s N9EGT Wayne

CPK-3 2
I just wanted to mention how happy I am with this kit. It works very well and was easy to assemble. I marvel at the simplicity of the circuit. Using a variable resistance instead of fixed resistors makes for a very inexpensive kit. I plan to add a 10-pole switch with resistors for my next build. US cost should be about $16 for the switch assembly. I ordered resistors from Digi-Key and should get them in a few days. The switch was ordered from Amazon. The sound quality is amazing. Now, I just need to figure out an inexpensive BFO for the shortwave bands. Still looking for a good case solution. Thank you for the suggestions on this group.

CPK-3 Radio for 27/28 MHz 6
Thanks to Adam for my test unit. If you're curious about 27-28 MHz reception I suggest the following: 1. 390k + 33k in series to get close to the required 422k (though I used 27k and that was also OK). For testing remove the Fav/Var link and wire the 422k across from the centre pin to earth. 2. Add 56k resistor in the earth connection of the tuning control for better bandspread. Required as keeping the whole 18-28 MHz range makes the tuning too touchy. This will give a coverage of approx 26.8 - 28.55 MHz 3. Use of an external signal generator or even Nano VNA as a BFO for SSB/CW reception 4. Use loose coupling to outside antenna to avoid overload from AM broadcasters etc. Tests OK on locally generated signals but haven't yet heard external signals. However there is an increase in noise with an external antenna loosely coupled so should be OK. Other refinements include use of a 10k 10 turn pot for the tuning and/or a fine tuning pot.

What¡¯s CPK-4? 4
I think it will be a 200mW CW transmitter and it will work with any SSB receiver you have on hand, including those Tecsun PL330, 365, 880, 990 and etc. I will ask for permission from the designer in Japan first. See the prototype on my Choc board. https://mp.weixin./s?__biz=MzU1MDk5Mzg4Mg==&mid=2247485772&idx=1&sn=8ecda12ee04fddd673307735aaeedc0e&chksm=fb9963f9cceeeaefb275a5a01dc33dfe820a7311028a70d6f410e78954a85a1ac03975ef6a00#rd Thanks, Adam

HC 49 Computer Grade Crystals 2
Adam, Do you have a source for 100 pc lots of custom frequency HC49 computer grade crystals? Before Covid I had a supplier who would make them in that quantity but now all the manufacturers I have contacted won't do less than a couple thousand and that would be a several lifetimes supply for me. Troubleshooting ADX-S Receiver Noise 2
I'm using my ADX-S with a DigiRig and WSJT-X running on both Armbian OS and MacOS machines. I have successfully completed FT8 QSOs and have been spotted transmitting WSPR. However in all modes I'm encountering what appears to be persistent harmonic noise across the spectrum. I've done everything possible to eliminate possible noise sources in the shack by shutting down and disconnecting as much equipment as possible when testing with the ADX-S. When using my other transceivers (FT-817ND and the IC-7300) I have no indications of any spurious noise injection or RFI infiltration. My sense is this noise is being generated by the ADX-S circuit, perhaps by a bad connection or an incorrect component value. I have attached several screen photos that show these noise harmonics in the waterfall display. I would appreciate your insight and suggestions on how to proceed with troubleshooting. Thanks. 73, Mark WB8BCU

KT- CP3 Radio a short test video 5
Adam mailed me a KT-CP3 radio kit which I received yesterday and build it in half an hour! It was a breeze to build this little kit! Then I connected it to my external speaker and shoot a short test video which is posted on my cgannel on youtube: https://youtu.be/jLiC0VR3fnQ?si=Jnmf6vBmE_qtVYvx Adam thank you for gifting me this little wonder. Here are some photos of my build: -- 73 Barb WB2CBA

CPK-3 KT is formal 2
Guys, Based on the very positive feedback from our domestic customers, I have updated the web store to include CPK-3 KT Receiver. The unit price for the kit and the mini whip antenna including tracked air shipping is 14.5 USD. The formal kits are the same as the beta kits. http://crkits.com The documentations are stored in the File section. Although the manual is still draft2, it is good enough to support the kit building. As always, I will update it along the way you test the beta kits. /g/crkits/files/KT Thanks, Adam

KT Receiver Domestic Report 5
Guys, While you are still waiting for the parcel patiently, about 6 dozens of domestic customers are enjoying this tiny radio now. A newbie told me in my wechat group that he just bought a soldering iron and KT is his first soldering project, but it is a total success. People sent many videos to demo their own KT radio. I hope you enjoy this radio kit as much as domestic customers do. Thanks, Adam

ADX-S Engineering Change Notice 20231213
Guys, We have upgraded the shipping firmware from V1.1 to V1.3 so we ask you to add a 3mm red LED to the CAL and GND test pins at least. You can find the LED in the kit in pink plastic bags. If you fail to do so, you will get poor receiver performance. The adding of LED is part of the RX modifications outlined in the chapter Modifications in the assembly manuals. It is strongly recommended if you can apply all the RX modifications. Thanks, Adam
