Crestron Home RAVA issues

Hello, I'm coming from an AP3 system and just finished setting up Crestron home OS 4.?

I'm facing two major issues between the 2N and the TSW-1070:

1- Whenever a call is issued from 2N the touch screen will only display the outdoor camera with action buttons as long as the call is still ongoing so panel needs to keep ringing otherwise it's not possible to see who's outside

2- It seems that it's impossible to change the ringtone of the touch panel and I must admit I can't stand it.?

With the AP3 it was a bit more complicated but one a call is initiated a 3 seconds ringtone is enough to display the RTSP page with the action button until I open the door or reject. Also I was able to play any ringtone using http commands... All this seems impossible with OS4 or I'm missing something?

Thanks.

Anyone please?

I don't have any answers as I won't support the HOME platform (for these and other reasons), but if you reach out to me directly, I may be able to get you hooked up with someone at Crestron that can help...
I'm assuming that you've called TS about this?

Sorry for the late reply as I've been abroad. I got in touch with crestron support and it looks like changing the RAVA ringtone is impossible.?
?
Also it's not possible to ring once or n times and keep the incoming call screen ( the video with action buttons ) on the screen until the call is answered.?
?
My Apartment has the 2N IP verso as a doorbell so yeah imagine if you have guests coming and ringing. By the time I open the door I'm pretty sure they will apologize for the disturbance because the TSW won't stop ringing until I answer. Very very annoying.?
?
Support suggested to request this feature but I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned before. I really like the CH interface but I am considering moving to AP4...

Try calling Jon Miller - he has some middleware solutions...

License the certified 2n door lock module, then setup programming automation on the verso.?
?
Program in Home, add a quick action to control? switch 2 to change to the external camera and turn on DND mode, then 2 minutes later reverse back to defaults...?
?
I don't love all the moving parts of this but we have many Home+2n systems and it can be done.?
?
DM if u need.?

Jumping back in here.

Chad is this a workaround to shorten the Rava ring time when 2N initiates a call and also to have flexible video switching capabilities.
?
The 2 requests my client has is:
?
1. Shorten ring time on inbound 2N<>Panel call
2. Change ringtone on panels
?

SIPDEFAULTRING OFF sent via console will stop the factory ring tone. Not sure how or if you could use a different one with Home. In Simpl I just drive another softer, less grating ring tone in VTP pro with a little logic.

Interesting...I do have an AV3 here. I wonder if I could do some console command tomfoolery to create my own ringtone. Depends on if the -R panels will accept it ot not...

The only way you can use custom ring tones is by setting the default ring tone off and then assigning a audio file in a custom project. Even if a -R panel let's you upload a custom project, it won't load it because it will have the Home App running. That says to me, no custom ring tones.
Maybe shutting the ringer off, then triggering a door bell interrupt to ring the panels might work.

Good points, Eric. If I get anything tricky working I will report back here...

The ringtone is crap. Definitely watching this thread to see if anybody comes up with a way to replace it... I'm thinking there might be another way to trigger an interrupt with logic and then tie that interrupt to one of the dozen or so additional ringtones that are exposed for the purpose of general alerts.?
?
We used to always run door control relay wires from the processor but the 2n home module (from LCD UK I believe) has come a long way... Since it is classified as a door lock in Crestron home I would think and hope and pray but not be surprised if this was not the case.. that you could set it up in 2 so when the doorbell is pressed it simultaneously rings and triggers virtual switch number four, then program the action on Crestron home side triggered from the switch 4 event to register as a door opening and that would expose the additional interrupt sounds...?
?
Course for the homeowner they probably would not love seeing the text notification that a virtual door is open while some stranger is ringing the doorbell... But if it's for your own system it just might work. Best I can do while bored in traffic...?
