Re: Tstat change 74,3 degrees to 74
Heather is right. there's a bit of Simpl+ already in every Tstat module.

Import the module, find the code, and change the rounding values. Chris On Sep 16, 2012 1:28 PM, "Heather Baiman" <heather@...> wrote:

Re: Degree symbol ASCII on TP (non-core 3)
I just opened up a tstat panel and I have no idea what symbol/letter/number cretsron used to get it. But my thinking is you could copy and paste it into simpl to add on to the end of the string. It will copy n paste to notepad, so it should do the same on a string.

If this is an analog - 751 represents 75.1 - a DivMod by 10 will chop off

the decimal. Ignore the remainder output. It doesn't round up though. On Sun, Sep 16, 2012 at 12:17 PM, Jon <fueler1@...> wrote:

If you don't care about the tenths at all, just run it through a DIVMOD...

If you dig through the Crestron TSTAT module, you will find a piece of simpl+ that does this for you (rounds to the nearest whole number)

Subject: [Crestron] Tstat change 74,3 degrees to 74 Hi all, I just changed my house from a HAI thermostat that output nice even numbers like 74 or 76 degrees to the CHV-TSTAT and it outputs 74.3 or 75.1 Is there an easy thing like a ascale with the right settings that will take the 75.1 or 751 and just convert it to 75 so I can keep all my touchpanels and iphone projects the same? I am thinking there is an easy way but its slipping my mind. Thanks for any help Jon ------------------------------------ Check out the Files area for useful modules, documents, and drivers. Re: apple tv control methods
The really great part is he did not password protect the module, so you can at least go in and make adjustments for your needs. I thank those that do not password the modules, so others can modify and learn from what has been done. :)

OT: Awesome Spec
I was googing the for a spec sheet on a Leviton product I was considering to tidy up the CATV DEMAC and I came across a division 16 construction spec.
That looks pretty normal. Until you get to Section 3.4: 3.4 INSTALLATION OF DOOR BELL A. Install doorbell buttons at front door. Install chime as directed. B. Acceptance Tests: Utilize certified doorbell testing service with a minimum 15 years professional experience. Test all button locations simultaneously with the following protocol. At 3:21 AM, the night after Owner has moved in, depress button with 2.24 lbs. of lateral force while wearing a black ski mask and carrying a 24" blood stained axe. Repeat this action until Owner answers the door. If no one answers door, determine if bell is active and continue testing. My first thought as I was reading is "there are certified doorbell testing services?" then I kept reading. -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS Sr. Systems Architect | Crestron Certified Master Programmer (Silver) ControlWorks Consulting, LLC Crestron Authorized Independent Programmer |
Re: PSPHD switching itself on
On second thought, try a restore on it and maybe reloading firmware. I am not sure, but doesn't it turn on if an input is changed also? You could do a massive buffer so the unit will not get any commands when the system is off and once the system is started it enables the buffer. This will tell you if it code or not.

Re: PSPHD switching itself on
It is possessed! But seriously, probably a bad unit. I have an LG lcd tv in my bedroom that turns itself on. This behavior is not consistent and it may go weeks without doing it and then will be on every time I look at it even when I just turned it off 30 seconds ago. No control to it, just the ir remote. I even pulled the batteries from the remote and it still does it. Damn ghosts.:)

PSPHD switching itself on
Was wondering if anyone else has had issues with a PSPHD switching itself on at strange times. I have one on site that has twice now switched itself on in the middle of the night. I have double checked my programming and even had someone else look through and we cant find any possible reason it could be coming on by itself.
The client has a V12 panel and an Ipad, so there is no ways he could be lying on the remote or anything like that :) anyone experienced anything similiar?? |

There is no comunication/fb from the OSD menu state and back to the API we have access to, and we can only use the IR emulation codes to control the OSD hierarchy menu. Their philosophy has always been that when you control the video system with a 3'rd party control system you don't need OSD and have even recommended to disable it... (OSD is for IR remote) I can follow that to the extent that the users focus, during maneuvering through addressbooks and estabishing a call (which is among the the most challenging tasks), should be on one place, i.e focus on either on the Touch Panel or on the screen (OSD), and not both. But after complains from partners and clients they once again have realized that a combo, with some OSD warnings and some info may be the best way.(read as it is on the MXP). In TC4.xx and TC5.xx Cisco have experimented with different OSD combos that do not work as well, but from TC6.0(which is to be released this autumn) I have been told that an enhanced combo with several selected OSD variables from API is included. We will see..... It is always a matter of taste but my preferences and experiences goes towards a none OSD version except for reading Far End statuses and callstat's, but it is dependent of a module that works flawlessly, and that is a whole different discussion.. :-) -Stig --- In Crestron@..., "Chip" <cfm@...> wrote:

It does not. For reasons they aren't sharing with anyone, Cisco decided that no one needed the ability to navigate directly to any screen via API.

I've had several clients ask for the same/similar - and I hate telling them "Yeah - the MXP line allowed for that - the newer, 'better' C-series does not"... But Cisco knows better than everyone else, of course... - Chip --- In Crestron@..., "crestronpro" <crestronpro@...> wrote:

Re: apple tv control methods
I've managed to get the ATV back up-and-running by disconnecting the LAN cable and streaming via Wi-Fi, thus not being controlled from Crestron. I could then access the Maintenance menu again, ext. I then reconnected the LAN cable to test again and found the following:

1) Song title not displayed correctly, ex: should be: (Don't Go Back To) Rockville is showing as: (Don't Go Back To) Rockville I had the same issue with 'o Solo Mia 2) Scrolling up/down a list of media requires double presses 3) Sometimes the title (name$) doesn't update, but the artist, album and album art did. 4) Selecting a movie after listening to music doesn't clear the artist and album text fields. Would also be great if the album art would clear if there was no album art, like it displays "Nothing playing" when nothing is playing. It then clears the fields. 5) Ffwd and rew works perfectly when watching movies. The aTV Flash (black) 2.0 Media Player also has metadata fetching enabled and it will start displaying pictures from the current playing artist, ext. I wonder it this doesn't put my crappy network under stress. However with it disabled the album art doesn't update. --- In Crestron@..., "Etienne" <etienne@...> wrote:

I tested your module this morning and it works great. The only thing I found was that ffwd and rew didn't properly work while listening to music and scrolling up and down required multiple presses, or delays between presses to move up/down through the list of albums, ext. I'm not sure if it is your module, but since I've installed AirControl the ATV2 seems temperamental in that it keeps freezing, doesn't want to show the Maintenance/Install Extras menu any more, ext. Some notes on my setup: 1) ATV2 with software 4.4.4 2) aTV Flash (black) 2.0 3) Only installed the Media Player and AirControl(beta) from the Maintenance menu 4) ATV and NAS with media connected via cables to the network 5) Crestron QM-RMC with Xpanel exe Thank you for sharing! --- In Crestron@..., "mrez@..." <mrez@...> wrote:

Re: Tandberg C60 C90
without digging through the API, I would have to say no to a direct command. I don't remember running across this, but I have not looked either. I do seem to remember Polycom having some commands to call a screen though. So maybe Cisberg does too. So my answer is: I really have no idea :)
