That is correct, the issue is with controlling audio level and mute toggle. Another member was kind enough to share his module but for some reason I couldn't get the audio to work, it can only mute once and jump few dB in one direction. DM receivers that lock up
I have a DM-RMC that will lock up every now and then.? I noticed that others may have had the same thing but I did not see a solution.? I have two receivers on the system only the primary projector has issues.? I think the installer used premade Cat cable.? It worked over a year without issues.? A couple of weeks ago I updated the puf file on the DMPS-300 and I beleive it updated the transmitters and receivers firmware, now it seems to lock up sooner.???The receivers are being powered at the receiver and not the processor.? One suspect is heat.? the projector is also going in to?thermal shut down occasionaly.? The technician measured with a lazer temp gage, and when he walked in the ceiling tile and projector was 95 degree and the vent near by was at 105 degrees and not sure that it was running, the floor was about 20 degrees cooler.? Its hard to blame the heating unless I truly know that is the answer.? Any other trouble shooting things that I should try?? I do not have another spare Rx laying around to try.? |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThat's the idea, but he keypads hardly report feedback properly.? Try triggering a main repeater action from the keypad button press in the RA2 software, and use the main repeater join to trigger the logic. I did this the other day, much more reliable.? Isn't the function of this module suppose to send a digital high when you press the corresponding button on a Lutron keypad.
But all of the PRESS buttons on the right side of the module don't work. ?
I am running 6.0.0 on the system using the r05 modules.

Need a way to now the GE NX-8V2 is in alarm/fire
I have the NX-587E keypad emulator working perfectly.? I need the alarm system is in alarm or fire to trigger other events.? Does anyone know a way to do this without adding a NX-584 rs232 board (which I am not sure this model panel can even use).
Thanks, TJ |

Re: RS232 reader to use with Crestron
Note that the Parallax piece is TTL... you need a MAX232 or similar to convert to RS-232 levels for use with Crestron. On Fri, Feb 28, 2014 at 5:03 PM, Lincoln King-Cliby <lincoln@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThere are a LOT of technologies at play and some country-specific preferences ¨C if there¡¯s already an proximity card system in place, you really need to start first by identifying the technology in use there so that you can [possibly] find a compatible reader and avoid making people tote around two credentials. ? At my house I started with a GP30-21 reader (manufacturer unknown, and aside from the couple I found on eBay, very hard to source in the US, but apparently a bit more popular in Europe) ¨C these read media 125KHz encoded but unclear as to the specific technology (I suspect EM4100 based on anecdotal evidence ¨C also somewhat difficult to source in the US) ? I converted, however, to HID Global 5452 readers which read HID-standard 125KHz media, which is far more common ¨C at least in the US ¨C and far easier to source media. In fact, the local university where my girlfriend works, also uses 125KHz media ¨C so when she has a coworker coming to house/pet sit while we¡¯re on vacation, I can just ¡°enroll¡± her University ID card rather than issuing a new token, and voilla--time controlled access and automatic login to my house. HID is also the leader (again, at least in the US) for access control media and readers, which may be a consideration, ? Also note, though higher security environments, like the museum where my girlfriend also works, are migrating away from the 125KHz platform and moving to the 13.5MHz HID Encrypted [credential <-> reader bidirectional handshake] and/or MiFare platforms ¨C neither of which, of course, is compatable with either the HID 125KHz or EM4100 platforms, though some places are issuing multiple-technology cards that support HID 13.5MHz and HID 125KHz on the same card. ? If you want to go really cheap, you could build an enclosure for this which uses EM4100 credentials. ? So long story short ¨C you should start by identifying the type of credential you need/want to use, and then that decision will inform what readers are available to you. ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS Commercial Market Director Sr. Systems Architect | Crestron Certified Master Programmer (Silver) ControlWorks Consulting, LLC Crestron Services Provider http://www.controlworks.com From:

I am looking for prox reader, that can be integrated with podium, connected to Crestron processor trough RS232.? Idea is, to have instructor come in to podium, swipe their prox card, save system configuration that they use for their classes.? Then every time they came in, they just swipe their prox, that will activate configuration that was saved on the processor. Let's say prox ID for teacher A will activate stepper, and set lights, projectors, etc etc etc .... ? ?

Yes ran into this, very very important to put the nvram stuff at the very top of the program.
Found this module does work really really well though. Also if you save the presets on the camera, when you recall them it pops a message on the camera. This way does not. Basically just sending it x and y coordinates. Re: Security camera recommendation
I have good experience with IQEye cameras in combination with TSW's. They carry a five year warranty and we are very satisfied with their quality and support. We also install Exacqvision NVR's which should be able to be integrated, but haven't done this in any project yet. There are also some open source NVR's, but the ones I've tested didn't come close to Exacq.

Re: Countdown Timer - with Status
You can always use an Analog Increment that you initialize to 60d. Set the repeat to 1s and then just hold the down. There is also a similar way with analog ramp where you set the time to 65535s and then it changes 1 value per second. On Fri, Feb 28, 2014 at 10:58 AM, Joseph K. Vossen <jkv@...> wrote:
