iPlayer3
Haven't had any experience with the Color Kinetics iPlayer3.? The OFF command in the serial driver actually works as a toggle power command.? The module in the Application Market is the one I am using and hasn't been updated in 10 years.? Was looking to see if there is actually a discrete off command that anyone is aware of or what have people done as a work around? I was thinking of learning my way through the Color Player software to see if I could create a BLACK show, all colors at 0.? Just thought I would ask here before going down the rabbit hole for a single project. Also, for anyone that is familiar with this software.? Is it possible to upload the running program from the iPlayer3, so that programming can be done off site? |
Re: Lots of buttons
What I would do in this case is have 1 subpage for the mic button, apply it multiple times to the page, and use subpage offsets to differentiate each position.

Lots of buttons
Having
an issue with a project loaded to a DM-DGE-200-C. Customer is expecting
an aerial view map of a 400 seat auditorium, each seating having a
microphone, with an indicator for the mic state at each seat.
Have this programmed but the subpage with
400+ advanced buttons on it is a bear to work with in VTPro and when we
load it to the DGE-200 it will cause the project to freeze and reload.
Device does not reboot, just reloads the project. Tried on a DGE-100 as
well with the same results.
Anyone know if these is a limit to the number of buttons a single subpage should have
with SmartGraphics? Anyone create something similar before
and have a way to help manage resources to make this functional? I seem to remember some recommendation about making everything a page in SG and only shared resources a subpage? In the iSys days we usually made a single page for the project and everything was a subpage, seem to remember this is not the recommended method with SG. Any help is greatly appreciated. |
Re: iPhone X Full Screen
update crestron softwares, especially vt-proe which will help you to know whether crestron app is rendered with iPhone X also, install crestron app in iPhone X, under settings you can find screen width & height resolution

Is Crestron App rendered full screen on the iPhone X as yet. If yes, what's the resolution we should work on. |

Re: LG Commercial display control via SNMP
Hi Phil,
I never controlled an LG via SNMP, please upload the protocol to the files section so,we can have a look at it. Recently I had a SNMP controlled power distributor, this was my first experience with SNMP. You need the MIBs and the SNMP modules. I downloaded an example from the Application market for a RANE DSP, which is controlled via SNMP. It contains nice SNMP modules, which You can use. The MIBs should be documented in the protocol from LG, as an alternative you can find out them witha MIB Browser of your choice. Best regards Crestronfreak55 |
Re: CEN-NSP1 Player dropping from the network
I have several at clients homes that drop offline all the time. ?I have to power cycle the POE and they show up again. ?I always use Araknis network systems and they suggested that something else on the network like a DirecTV DVR could be set as the master on a network switch priority list. ?I think we were able to resolve it at one location, but now that the NSP is discontinued, I've given up. ?If anyone complains I'll sell them a MMS1.

Re: NVX on Control Subnet
I'll look at the version number tomorrow when I get back on site (I don't recall the number), I pulled straight out of the box and plugged in.? I'm populating everything in SIMPL and I have not even logged into the NVX units.? I'm using the streamLocation$ from the hardware definitions and feeding through some buffers to handle all routing.

Re: NVX on Control Subnet
1) Were you able to just boot the switch straight out of the box with zero configuration and have it work? ????? (Our switch had old firmware with a minor bug - no data could pass in default config - so we had to work around that from the get-go. Maybe now that we're on current firmware I should factory default the switch.) 2) Does your Available Subscriptions auto populate? I can manually add the subscriptions, then switch through the XIO analog signal in SIMPL and it works, but I worry that the lack of an Available Subscriptions list means the IGMP table isn't populating correctly. I didn't create a new VLAN, but with the switch in factory configuration there's already a "Default" VLAN populated with all the regular ports and a separate Management VLAN for switch management. Right now we're at 7 NVX-TX, 7 NVX-RX, the CP3N, and a SWAMP connected on the Default VLAN. |
Re: NVX on Control Subnet
I have roughly the same setup except I did not VLAN my NVX units.? I have the NVXs plugged into the 48 port version of that switch (switch is default), a touch panel, global cache relay, Crestron PC300, and a Biamp Tesira's control port.
Everything is working fine, in one room I have 3 NVX transmitters and 1 receiver, in another 12 NVX transmitters and 5 receivers, in another room 17 NVX transmitters and 2 receivers.? All rooms have roughly the same setup (CP3n, PC-300, GlobalCache relays, NVX, Biamp, TSW-760).?? |
NVX on Control Subnet
If I want the CP3N to act as the DHCP server for the control subnet including all the NVX boxes, does my VLAN still need an IP address? I'm using an Extreme X440-G2-24t switch, which is supposed to be configured for multicast by default. IGMPProxy in the CP3N is off, and everything pulls an IP address on the "Default" VLAN, and the CP3N can control the Sonnex on the same switch the NVX boxes are on. My TX multicast addresses are even, starting at 239.1.0.2 When I go to an NVX set as a receiver, there are no subscriptions listed under available streams. |
Re: Getting an Xpanel to run on a Mac using Parallels
I have absolutely no problems running an XPanel stand alone, neither in Win10 from VMware Fusion nor in macOS. Same with XPanel Web in FFX. At the same time.
? Sorry, it says "XPanel Web on Device" in those two windows that are actually NOT hosted on the device but stand-alone. It misses it on the actual Web Panel, though. Key is to install the Adobe Air framework properly everywhere. |
