Re: New Apple TV with Volume
The Apple TV itself has no volume control. The remote sends IR commands to whatever device you set up in the settings (I.e TV, Soundbar, Reciever)

Re: Oppo HA-1 / Oppo Sonica DAC IR
IIRC, the only button on the remote that will turn it on is Power. But I can double check when I get home later to see if Play or one of the direct input commands will turn it on. Keep in mind that

Re: Oppo HA-1 / Oppo Sonica DAC IR
The "Play" command is generally a discrete ON for all the players I've ever encountered. You could then possibly use the "Toggle Power" command as an "Off" command. Frankly, utilizing the Play command

You really want it to be as close to 1 as possible, not 0. A pure resistive system will have a power factor of 1, while a purely reactive system will have a power factor of 0. The closer to 0 you get,

Re: Oppo HA-1 / Oppo Sonica DAC IR
I contacted Oppo and they suggested the HA-1 codes "might" work. Also informed me that the Sonica DAC doesn't come with a remote (!). If you have access to Oppo beta stuff I'd appreciate you checking.
