FYI, New 4-Series Firmware
So Crestron just released new 4-series FW this week. Release notes boldly proclaim:
"
Important Information:
Why do they do this?? And why should I have confidence in updating, given my gut says this is a 'tip of the iceberg' situation. i.e. what other things will they find don't work?
And when would these items be resolved??
These specific items are not an issue for me as I spent 2 days proving that the HomeKit stuff is a train-wreck and I won't even try any CCD interfaces...
?
But what am I missing? |
Re: what's the easiest way to create a simple vertical and horizontal divider
I usually grab Images/Fill Border - set Border Alpha to 0, Fill Alpha to 1 and Fill Color to?the color you want, then you have full control over the size and even corner radius if you want it. On Fri, Feb 7, 2025 at 3:48?PM Brian via <brian.williams=[email protected]> wrote:

Thanks Brian for the quick reply, i tried the 108-Vertical Line, but i have no control on the width, it defauts at 8, is this normal ?
Also how do you change ths color ? It defaults to white
Thx,

Re: Bacnet Stack not running - 4 series
Yes, initially I thought that was the issue - bucause I save a DIN-AP3 as a DIN-AP4.
?
So redid it from scratch and it still was not working.
?
I THINK (not confirmed because it "just started working after reboot") that it was because I completed the incomplete bacnet objects with ctrl+I
?
When I did that it just entered 0d as the object number for 100+ objects
?
I commented them all out, and I suspect that is what might have been the issue. |
Good morning Hive mind!
?
I have an existing NVX installation running now on 4 mismatched Cisco switches, that is out of capacity.? We are expanding the system and as such we have stood up a Netgear AV network with a M4350 10G at the core and M4250s at each IDF.? The Core M4350 will be handling DHCP duties.? Here's my question:? Currently the CP3N is handling DHCP, which has its scope.? My plan is to connect the Director to the new network so it has an IP address assigned from there, and then move all the existing endpoints over to the new network.? Am I missing anything with this?? My assumption is that the Director will still see the devices, and retain control.? The only outlier I can think of is potentially changing the IP address of the director in the SIMPL program.? If I am not clear at any of this let me know, does this sound right? |

Hello,
? ? I want to thank everyone for their comments & assistance. I reached out to an AI website & with a lot of errors on its part and lots of reexplaining exactly what I wanted the code to, I have a working Simpl+ module for my ViewSonic PRO-8100 which does the following:
?
1) displays the lamp hours,
2) shows me warming up & cooling off messages,
3) does a poll for the lamp hours every 5 minutes.
?
Again, thanks to everyone for their help.
