Re: Evertz NUC=AV-100 session manager
I can answer general questions but I can't send code samples because the protocol is released to my company under NDA.? That said, the coding was not difficult at all once the hardware is setup properly.? I'm looking at some drawings for a system that uses this Evertz product and I need to price out time for it.
Does anyone have some code examples that they are willing to share? I'm currently trying to get an idea of the time involved in working with this product. |
Crestron Mobile Pro G glitch
For some reason on one of my ipads I cannot bring up a full setup menu using this app. It only shows connect option and not the edit system option. I need to change the ip address in the setup due to a new ip address for the processor due to a new router. My other devices bring up the full set up menu but this one ( same version ) will not. Not sure what I am missing.

Override IP Table warning
Job done 8 years ago, replace an IR driver, dumped then the warning shows up (IP table on this program is different than the one in the device).. WTF?, i had this error showed up multiples times on many, many jobs, including on most that i am currently working on. Made a mistake to hit yes go ahead, then a TSW panel when offline, its definition was missing in the IP table, sometimes hitting yes causes no problem. no idea what is going on.

Re: Shared GWEXER
I agree with Tony. I always have a separate IP-ID for each program that is communicating with the GW.
Thus I would do this, whether in the same of different processors: CEN-GWEXER: I P-ID 03 -> CP3 IP Address P-ID 04 -> CP3 IP Address CP3 Program 1(AV): IP-ID 03 CEN-GWEXER (Shared) CP3 Program 2(D3): IP-ID 04 CEN-GWEXER (Shared) Even if the alternative method works, I still wouldn't use it because: a. I don't trust it, and it frankly *shouldn't* work without issues IMHO b. its harder to trouble-shoot things. with 2+ IP-IDs, you know in the GWEXER's IPTable, whether each program is on-line. this has been helpful. If you have just one IP-ID, which program is Online?? one, the other or both?? |
Re: Shared GWEXER
The "correct" method is for each program, whether on the same processor or not,
to have a unique IP ID. --- On Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 10:26 AM, Doug Greenhalgh wrote:losing my mind.--- On Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 8:22 AM, Mitch Bigelow wrote: |

Shared GWEXER
Can anyone confirm proper procedure for shared gateways, i have a CP4 running an AV program in slot 1, D3 program in slot 2, i have the ipid set to 3 and 4 in both programs. Just got off the phone with TB and they are saying they definitely need to be different with multiple ip table entries on the gateway.
Is this correct? i thought that was the case when you had shared gateways between multiple processors |
Re: TRANE XL1050 WiFi Thermostats
Just wanted to give this one a quick bump as we had to deal with these this week.? We ran into a bug during install on the module v1.1 which displayed this error sporadically when changing setpoints:
[ The setpoint requested violate the deadband set by the user. ] |

Re: Elk M1G security panel with C1M1 module. Feedback but no control
Not sure why they don't work simultaneously but I'm suspecting it has to do with the C1M1 occupying the serial port. We were even on the phone with Elk tech support and it was never mentioned as something that might cause an issue. The security guys were giving up and disconnecting when all of a sudden things started working. I did the ol' "wait.... what'd you? just do???"?
