Re: CP3 Ethernet Issues

CP3 firmware issue?? You might try downgrading the firmware to a version from a few years ago and see if that make a difference.? I myself haven't seen this issue -- but for Series 3 devices, I use Crestron firmware/software back before the Series 4 came out.? Particularly now that the Series 3 has been discontinued.? I only use the latest and greatest firmware/software for Series 4 devices.

You also might try putting the CP3 on its own subnet and point all the end points to the new IP address -- that would shield the CP3 from other devices flooding the CP3's network port.? I had an issue back a few years ago with Haiku fans flooding the network with packets and messing up my Series 3 devices.? Landed up putting the Haiku fans on there own subnet to fix the issue.

What do others think?Could a bad network connection (RJ45) cause this kind of issue??

Re: Reading Data Stored in a CSV file on a Crestron Processor

Hello, Do you have an example for the Simple+?

Re: Extract CSV - to CP4

the json modules of crestron is great for working with files ,after you use it u dont put any more names in vtpro
its in application market:

Re: SIP Intercom recommendations

Go with 2n.? I would steer clear of Holovision.? Just about every one we installed has failed.? I've also done AVLinkpro which is a Linux based SIP server and requires a lot more configuration / customization, but its not native Rava.

Re: SIP Intercom recommendations

I found this one on Google.

Re: SIP Intercom recommendations

Guys,

Thanks for the recommendations. They both look like they will do the job nicely (at some cost though :) )

Re: Looking for small CBD-P-W-T blank buttons

I know I have a few. They are at the office, so I won't know how many until tomorrow.

Looking for small CBD-P-W-T blank buttons

Hello,

If anyone has blank CBD-P-W-T buttons (the small one, not the split buttons you can use in the bottom two positions).? ?I am looking for 40.? ?If you have some you would like to part with please let me know.

Thank you
Bryan

Re: CRESTRON CONSTRUCT first impressions

TBH, we arent even messing around with Construct until there is a viable port over from our current package of interface options.? There needs to be a way to crossover for clients with older systems and clients with new requests.? This whole releasing of panels not capable of running VTPro projects just reeks.

Re: Horizon V1 keypads available

One disadvantage Tony of the V1 vs V2 is that the engraving options for the V1 are more flexible. In the new "Impress" engraving program, they just have a few fixed options for how you can lay out the buttons on the V2 keypads. I went through this with Crestron showing the design my client wanted, based upon his previous V1 HZ keypads. They 'fessed up that the V2 couldn't do what the V1 could, but they made a "feature request" for what I wanted, but didn't promise it being deliverable for months. Are there electrical or appearance differences?

I don't see Brian in the Groups.io member directory, or a LinkedIn profile when Googling "Brian Trujillo +TruAV."
But his personal Facebook profile can be found in the Crestron Professionals Group member list, if you choose to reach out directly that way..

Re: CP3 Ethernet Issues

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Nope, I would bet on some equipment is flooding the network and the cp3 gets affected.?
If this happens in your install ¡°often¡±, try to sniff the network with wireshark or similar software to see ?if suddenly there are any broadcast storms and maybe you could isolated the ip origin of it.

Check your network switches and recently auto firmware upgrades..?
i¡¯ve a similar issue with a system (cp3, nexia, nvx, unifi switches) that worked perfect 1 year, and suddenly something started to shutdown the tcp connection between the biamp and cp3.

The combination of an auto firmware update happened on the unifi switches, and an out of date firmware version on the nvx caused flooding all over the network.

Re: Horizon V1 keypads available

To save me a bit of reading, can you tell me what advantages the v2 keypads have over the v1 models?

Thanks!

I think Construct has the ability to replace VTPro in some use cases, mainly commercial with many important resi essential features still to come.
I think that the big missing piece for Resi is the lack of the MPO at the moment, unless there's been some movement on this...

Hi Slip,

2N do a nifty interface . I have used it to convert old analogue entry system to SIP. It might suit you purpose as it has I/O ports.

SIP Intercom recommendations

The Grandstream GVX3500 for my front entrance intercom has decided to retire by itself. No amount of fiddling will change its mind.

I'm looking for a replacement recommendation.?

I have a doorbell button that I'd like to keep, and a composite video camera that I'm happy to replace.

I'm looking for a modern alternative with the following:
* Camera support. The GVX allowed me to connect a composite camera which provided enough resolution, but an external IP camera would be fine. I don't want a built-in camera.
* Digital I/O's for the doorbell and contact closure to a DIN-AP3 to trigger events in the program.
* Full duplex SIP to integrate into my FreePBX.

I don't want any keypads, in fact I don't want any form of 'box' outside. The GVX sat in a service hatch in my front porch out of sight. Only thing a visitor sees at my front door is the doorbell button and the camera if they look up.

Thanks

Controlling displays in a Just Add Power System

Good Morning All,
I'm programming a J.A.P. system with VBS-HDIP-508POE endpoints with RS232 connected to a display.? The Crestron Module I downloaded from their website for use with their AMP configuration software, has a module for video matrix switching but nothing for controlling the displays from the endpoints.? The documentation says, "For Endpoint Control or Feature Control, create a generic telnet driver, set the IP address to the Receiver or Transmitter you want to control, and follow the directions for the desired control feature".? That tells me to use the TPC/IP client module with the endpoint's IP address and port number, and connect my control module for control of the display.? Is that all?? Are there any settings in the endpoint's GUI for control of the display?
