been using this for years and it’s been rock solid. From what I was told version 2,3,4 (not sure on 5) of the Q-SYS modules were all written by different people at crestron with complete rewrites, got tired of trying to keep and and then breaking things over the years.?

No not really, I tried the github various methods, didn't work out.

It seems that one has to go through the ADB (Andriod Debug Bridge) route to get things going (I read some developers from China, they write in Chinese) but I'm not too good at ADB so I didn't pursue further.

If anyone by chance to be able to control an Andriod TV, please share your experience ok? Thank you in advance!

I've just swapped a program from 5.0 to 5.2; doing this cleaned up most of the errors i was getting, but still seeing this at startup:

From the test have made, it was not working because of the firewall of the Virtual Machine.

In a similar but different vein - trying to upgrade to 5.2 modules has been a complete bust.? No connectivity to core at all.? Does anyone have any prevailing wisdom that applies?

I'm trying to apply firmware update remotely via VPN to a CEN-NSP-1 (1.002.26 to 1.002.0035.001).
No matter how I try, multiple power cycles, etc. I still get "UPDATE FAILED".
Is this a dead issue?

VC-4 & Sonos

Hi All,

I'm trying to make a VC-4 and a Sonos work all together with SIMPL Windows programming, but it doesn't work.
I'm using Sonos System Module v3.1.1, Sonos Device Module v3.1.1, Sonos Volume Manager v3.1.1, ...

Each zone has the same name has the one in the Sonos App
I'm able to ping the Sonos devices from the Virtual Machine, but I'm not able to see the Sonos device in the UI nor in SIMPL Debugger.

Has anyone an idea on how to solve this?

If you can’t find one, take a look at Shelly’s selection of IoT relays. I’ve found Shelly’s products to be of high quality and there is a full driver set on my Github for integrating them with a Crestron system?

IRUSB or the various others will work to control the TV, but you wont be able to control power or input shifts. Also, the IRUSB will often "wake" TV's up that have been powered off, so you are likely better off with the github repo suggested earlier.
