Re: Getting other than English text on a touch panel.
If using a MSEND how is language converted. I wasn't aware that the properties included language change. I can convert text using Google Translator and using Copy/Paste into a MSEND but that loses the conversion. Would be nice if Crestron allowed true HTML within indirect text and not limit to certain characteristics.?
Are there published modules that allow converting using JSON or XML already? |

Re: Adding Shure MTX Mute to SIMPL Program
I'm doing this for more than 10 years too and I was doing Extron before.
I'm an electronics technician so when I started working with Crestron it was instantaneous, It brought me back in the '80s and '90s whan I was using logic gates ICs for automation. NAND gate was a 7400, NOR 7402, One Shot 74123, etc, etc. I fell in love instantly! |

Re: Adding Shure MTX Mute to SIMPL Program
It'll click sooner than you think.? A great resource, really the only one for beginners (besides actual Crestron training) is?
I've been doing this for a little over a decade and sometimes go back and watch the videos on symbols I don't use all that often.? I do this as both a refresher and for inspiration. |

Re: Adding Shure MTX Mute to SIMPL Program
Here's a of a basic way to do it.
Use the signal of the toggle to send to your TSW for feedback. What you do with the connection signals of the TCPIP Client is up to you. Some programmers just put the "connect" pin to "1" and go on with their lives and never encounter a problem. I like to make some kind of connection management to connect to the device only when needed and drop the connection when not in use. I made this quick and dirty example based on the posts in this thread, I never had to control that device so I can't confirm that the strings are right but you'll get the idea! Good luck! |

Re: Converting CP3-R to CP3
I notice the answer ID has been updated (6th December '22) and now states:
Pretty sure it originally gave instructions on reverting the change, which basically just involved downloading the latest CP3-R firmware and re-flashing. Why the change? If Crestron are worried that it somehow allows ANY CP3 to be (down)converted to a CP3-R, then so what? It's really p-ing me off that we can't change CP3 and MC4 and CP4 processors to the -R versions. We quoted for CH jobs and ordered MC4-R units back in Feb '22, but won't get those processors 'till Q4 '23 at the earliest. Needless to say, we've had to install with what we had, and that means the TSW-770-Rs we got delivered in July (for same jobs) are still sitting on the shelf, and spare RMC3, CP3 and CP4s we have?(that cost us a premium over the -R versions when originally purchased!) have had to be used, meaning custom programming (that wasn't accounted for in the original quote either). Converting to -R firmware would have saved us the programming AND allowed us to use the -R touchscreens we've bought and paid for, but Crestron aren't interested in helping us out. IMHO it would have been the least they could do, considering the clusterf**k they've left us dealers in. |

Re: Panasonic PT-VMZ50 PJ Link
As it turns out, I have a project with a VMZ51 coming up and was going to post about the 'Crestron Connected Display'.
Is the consensus to use the PJ-link module vs trying to use the CCD?? I don't care, just don't want rabbit holes for just dealing with On/Off and input!!...:) ***Also, is the module recommended to use the 'PJLink Panasonic PT-FW300NT' found in the app market and dated 2010?? Also: Mike - Thanks for the heads up on the IP-ID Hex/Not Hex issue. good to know... John Gabler/others - Where you had the IP-ID 'Online', this seems similar to the issue with CEN-IO boxes and authentication. Proc w/ Auth shows device Online where the Cen-IO shows offline, thus you have to? run the 'SetCsAuth' command in the CEN-IO.? Does anyone think that this is the issue with this projector and the CCD???? ?It does seem to be a different animal comparitively... |

Re: Lutron Homeworks QSX
There was/is a version of crestron firmware (I was doing it on a PRO4, not sure if 3 series are affected) that broke the Lutron integration.?
I can't remember the exact firmware version to avoid and not entirely sure if it's been fixed in a later version.? I think I saw on here about the issue originally! |

Re: Lutron Homeworks QSX
Hi Leonardo, I am currently struggling with communication between Crestron and Lutron QSX also so thought I'd reply.
As far as I understand, you enter the command processor id appropriately (Probably 1 if you only have 1 processor), IP address and user name and password which should match the credentials setup within the Lutron QSX. I have an XPanel which pulses the "connect" pin of the module which starts the heartbeat of the module and also set the debug pin high so I can see the activity within Toolbox debugger. I am continuously getting the following error: LutronLeapCommLib1{ Reconnect!! } LutronLeapCommLib1{ Connecting to 10.12.200.100 } LutronLeapCommLib1{ SocketStatusChange: SOCKET_STATUS_NO_CONNECT } After reading various threads, I've made sure to have Simpl Windows 4.18p, Crestron Database 211.05.001.00 and Device Database 200.175.001.00 as these were the versions used to create the Demo project on the Crestron Marketplace. From there, I've just been pulling my hair out ... which isn't helping either. Anyone else able to advise? |

Re: Lutron Homeworks QSX
You could always look for an older 3 series processor as well

Re: Panasonic PT-VMZ50 PJ Link
I see you got PJ Link working so probably don't need to spend more time on it. But in case other people come across this thread were you using the oh so helpfully named "Crestron Connected Display" symbol which is actually Crestron Connected v2 or were you using "RoomView Connected Display" the older name for Crestron Connected and actually works with 90% of the device out there called Crestron Connected.
