Re: OT - Proximity Sensor
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have used these: ? GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN ? with some success.? It is possible to ceiling mount it and cover part of the sensor window with tape to adjust the sensing area.? ?It also has some sensitivity adjustment. ? I kind of like the camera thing as it could cover multiple trigger areas.? The only problem with it is the trigger line will vary with the height of the occupant unless the ceiling is really high. From: <[email protected]> on behalf of jbasen <jay.m.basen@...> ? Thanks Adam. Unfortunately, I'm not trying to determine if someone is in a room but in a specific location within the room.? Hence my need to determine if someone is within a foot of the sensor. The need to carry a smart phone is also an issue. Thanks again. Jay On 3/1/2022 5:44 PM, adamzatorski wrote:

Re: OT - Proximity Sensor
Jay,
I was thinking about using a camera with analytics as well. Many have people counting, trip lines, and even boxes that can be drawn around areas. The other option for a completely battery powered solution would be to make your own. You could use an Inovonics transmitter (EN1210) connected to an ultrasonic prox sensor. Depending on the sensor and batteries, it could all fit into a single or double gang enclosure. Then, add in an Inovonics receiver, either simple with contact closure out for up to 4 transmitters or one with serial out for unlimited. It would be a fun thing to build and test. Good luck, Brian |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYou can just use the prox detector on the tsw-1070 as it is approximately worthless . . . ? From: <[email protected]> on behalf of jbasen <jay.m.basen@...> ? Thanks Adam. Re: Primer for 4Series Modules
#simplsharppro
Unfortunately, Crestron's online resources didn't help me much in starting off in Simpl Sharp.
What I did find very useful was Patrick Murry's online courses at learnavprogramming.com. There are some free classes just to show you the quality of his instruction, and he has several Simpl Sharp classes that go into exactly how to get a program up and running. |
Re: NVX-363 resolutions
#nvx
NVX does not deinterlace prior to encoding.
Since the NVX-363 includes a scaler, it will always deinterlace first, so no interlace output is possible. NVX D20 and D30 do not include a scaler, so if they receive an interlaced stream they will output an interlaced stream. Regards, Ag Primatic |

We use a lot of these
Slight overkill for the situation but they work well and have rs232. I have also used these if you only need USB 2.0 |
Re: Hikvision NVR
Hi,
thanks for the feedback. Which exact model do you use? I?m still trying to get a handle on the different series and models. Re: Android 12 Samsung with Crestron App (blue icon) phone issue
#android
Blue icon on android? The only android Crestron app that has a blue icon is the old Crestron Mobile. The "Crestron App" which is the current Smart Graphics enabled app hasnt been updated in a while and it is a gray/silver icon. No major issues with that on my Pixel.?

Topics in Home Automation - New Article in Residential Tech Today
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýMy latest article, "1VALET Helps Make Multi-Dwelling Unit Buildings Smarter¡± is being published by the good folks at Residential Tech Today Magazine on their web site.
The article looks at the similarities, and differences, between a "smart home" and the units in a smart multi-dwelling building; including apartments and condominiums. It then explores how a smart building operating systems adds additional "smart" features for the residents of a multi-dwelling building. Finally the article explores how some of the unique features of 1Valet can be implemented in a smart home.
You can find the article here:
For those interested in earlier articles that I've written, you can find those here:
Finally, for those that want to see even more content I've written about smart home technology you can find that here:

Re: Primer for 4Series Modules

I agree with Andy, to a degree.? I was disappointed with Crestron's HTML5 courses, as they don't actually show you how to create anything.? They do show you how to get all the software setup and the theory to recreate a VT file.? There is another thread on this forum with a demo program, which is good.? I myself am working on the C# courses mentioned.? They start at kindergarten and move up, hopefully they will lead to an actual program that does something, this is still TBD.? Making a Crestron program is the important part, I can learn C# anywhere.?
Daniel mentioned developing 4-series modules, do you mean drivers?? There is a developer page for that:?https://sdkcon78221.crestron.com/sdk/Crestron_Certified_Drivers_SDK/Content/Topics/Home.htm |

Re: OT - Proximity Sensor
Hi Jay, |
Hikvision NVR
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, ? i?m currently looking into NVRs for IP cameras. I found there?s a Crestron (Home and custom) module from Ultamation available. I?m considering the DS7616NI-I2. Any comments on the support with the Ultamation module or general comments? There are actually a lot of models with very similar model-numbers. I understand for the Ultamation module to work, a ¡°I¡± model is required? ? Thanks, Thorsten |

That device will switch peripherals to different hosts. Not different peripherals to 1 host.?
