Re: Looking for a 10-12" Touch Screen for DGE100/200
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, ? I had no luck with smaller display as well. Now i?m using these in conjunction with the DGE100: They are reliable and they are well thought out and come in different flavours: high brightness, anti-glare, etc. Models for flush mount, aluminium frame ¨C no brand logo. But size starts at 13,3¡±, so they might be too large for you. But anyway, i?m wondering why you don?t go with a standard TSW-10xx for 10¡± size requirements. ? But they might be a tad more expensive than what you?re looking for (have only used sizes >=15¡± so far). ? Cheers, Thorsten ? #simplwindows #cp3 Bosch DCN CCU

Hi Need help,
I had recently downloaded the Bosch DCN RS232 module from application market, the zip version can be downloaded here Or in the help file it said this module only work for series 2 processor, and yes it was previously worked on Crestron Rack2 by other system integrator. however for this round this project, i need to decommission the Rack2 with new CP3 series 3 processor.? when i loaded in the module, everything worked like a charm, except for the last part voting result. i dont seems to be able to catch the voting result back and show it on the crestron touchpanel.? Question: 1. I wonder is it because is for series 2 so the last part doesnt work? 2. What is the correct way to convert series 2 to 3, i tried to set the target to 3 in the simpl+ file and recompile it, at first it gave me S>,S< warning , where after i corrected it with no error and warning.? but the module vote result still doesn't work when i tested it. 3. I also compare the rs232 version simpl+ file with TCP/IP version simpl+ file ? but the command looks different, and cannot use TCP/IP version because the Bosch DCN is old unit with only COM port.? any help would be appreciated!? |

Check the dell units. I've used them with good results. On Thu, Apr 29, 2021 at 9:55 AM <zac.sparrow@...> wrote: Any of you can recommend something in the $200-$250 range? --

Amazon (aka the new FleBay) is full with junk and I am getting really irritated by reading inconsistent specs/pictures/reviwes. Even Liliput, which is somewhat known brand post wrong specs (16:9 but 1280x800 res).? |
Re: Crestron Home with SIMPL system
My understanding and my previous experience doing just this (SMW for everything except Lighting/Shades in Pyng/OS3/CH) is that the only interface is the VTPro PYNG smart objects and the SMW trigger and Listen modules.
They work well and it is an easier integration to be sure compared to D3, though completely fixed. It limits your controls to digital button presses and feedback, with the Smart Objects providing a lot of direct control to the devices on CH. However, the smart objects are fixed in their design and function (unless you go down the deep hole of creating your own Theme). This could clash with other parts of your UI, or require you to build your UI to match. Unless they have announced some new features and capabilities at Masters, My Problems with this approach are as follows: 1. CH Lighting still has many programming/feature limitations compared to D3 or SMW-based Lighting control? (And yes, FTR I will kill myself if I have to program another system in D3) 2. The lack of Shared Gateway in CH requires that an hybrid system use 1 set of GWEXERs for any wireless devices on CH, A 2nd, parallel set of GWEXERs for SMW remotes and other devices, all needing to co-exist with your WIFI network. This makes for a very dense and complex RF environment. 3. Limited integration functions and UI aesthetics - You always need 'One more thing'...? for ex: no ability to set Analog levels from SMW to CH, except via the S/O, which is not accessible from SMW. 4. When you have issues on the CH side, you have no way to deal with it other than to report the issue to Crestron and wait for them to resolve it - which currently everything is taking forever to be resolved... I would live to hear about anything that mitigates what I've detailed, as I don't hate CH, I just think that its nature creates limitations that our industry sector can't/shouldn't live with... |
Re: Crestron Home with SIMPL system
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe PYNG Listen and Trigger symbols tie SIMPL to HOME. There are videos on how to do it on the CTI site under the Technician Certification Track in the Crestron Home videos.?Ryan Cunningham? On Apr 28, 2021, at 10:57 AM, galcala <galcala@...> wrote:

Crestron Home with SIMPL system
I've been attending the Masters Sales classes over the last several days and I'm finally convinced to give Crestron Home a go at some level.? It appears that they are working on??
user-editable scene controls.? When available, I'd like to use these in my lighting and shade projects. At this point, however, I'd like to continue using SIMPL/VTProe for everything else.? It was suggested that this is doable.?? Can someone provide an approximate roadmap for how to get this done?? e.g., have the TSR remote that's part of the SIMPL system control lights that are on the Home system.? Normally, I'd use a EISC but I don't think that the answer here.?? If it's not obvious, I have never used Home. Thanks. |

My latest article, "Wave for Work Integrates Genki¡¯s Wave Smart Ring in Zoom, Etc.¡± is being published by the good folks at Residential Tech Today Magazine on their web site.
Too many people are stuck on Zoom meetings for extended periods of time.? Wave for work is a unique remote control that fits on your finger and works with the Zoom app on your Mac or Windows 10 computer along with other applications.? You can even control the playback of music on your computer while doing other work without even taking your hand away from your keyboard. You can find the article here: For those interested in earlier articles that I've written, you can find those here: ?Finally, for those that want to see even more content I've written about smart home technology you can find that here: Thanks |
Re: Touchpanels not working
Does the IP table show the touchpanel online? Does the IPIDs of the new program match the old IPIDs? Can the touch panel ping the master from text console? That is where I would check 1st. On Wed, Apr 28, 2021, 2:41 AM <jason.muller@...> wrote:
