Re: Simpl 4.14.21.00
You are going to want to have a build environment with the pre-200 databases, 4.11 SIMPL, and 6.2.0.3 VT Pro-E. What I ended up doing since I only want to carry one laptop with me anywhere is I spun up a Hyper-V virtual machine and installed all the old versions of those tools and copied over all my modules, smart graphics themes, etc. in their current state into the VM. That way I can still manage existing code, but also move forward with new Crestron software. I have not had any issues with the updated versions of modules that support the new databases in the newest SIMPL thus far. Good luck!

Re: Sonos S1 Websock Exception Thrown
As far as I know, there aren't separate access levels for the FTP site - you're either in, or not. The beta folder should be at the top of the root directory, when sorted alphabetically. However, if you still can't find it, I'm sure Tech Support can send it to you.

I just heard back from a dealer I sent a newly-compiled program to yesterday, and he said this database *DOES* fix the Sonos issues. Hopefully there will be a public release soon. --- On Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 9:03 AM, johnh wrote: |

Re: Lutron Quantum Phantom Keypad Button Commands
开云体育In Quantum you can definitely use a real keypad ID (I’ve never used the NWK ID…everything Ive done with Qantum is either keypads or areas) … two most common ways are there’s a physical keypad on the Quantum system that you want to duplicate – just need it’s ID from the integration report and send the appropriate #DEVICE command for the type of keypad. If you don’t have the integration report you can turn monitoring on on the NWK and press a button on the keypad and see what ID/integration ID gets reported. ? Or there’s a “virtual” or “phantom” keypad that doesn’t exist in reality but is otherwise programmed exactly the same as the above. The only problem is in Quantum a phantom keypad must be assigned to a link for it to work – it is possible to create a phantom keypad but not assign it to a link and then “nothing works” so to speak. ? Re: DIN-AP3 Default Login?
开云体育Unfortunately the “serial number as password” (I know Extron is don’t that, haven’t seen it from Crestron and hope that they find a different bandwagon to jump on) is an effect of a California law that prohibits shipping devices with standard credentials…. Well meaning (e.g. make it harder for ignorant home users from letting their IoT devices be compromised) but incredibly annoying for devices that aren’t connected to a network that even has Internet/outside world access let alone exposed directly to the Internet. ? What is troubling is that processors and touchpanels seem to enforce different password complexity requirements. I was at a site a couple weeks ago and the processor happily accepted “admin” “clientname” but the touchpanel wouldn’t take “clientname” or “Clientname”, I wound up having to use “C1ientname” for the panels ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D ? Re: SWAMP Zone Names - Toolbox
Are you feeding the Source and Room names into the Hardware definition, in SMW??
Assuming you are, do you have an MSP on the strings? Because the Swamp takes time to fully connect, the strings will be lost if they're just initialized on startup. Even if you're using the Device Ready Pulse to trigger the strings, I'd still use the MSP to lock them in.... Sorry if this is too basic, but we all miss the obvious sometimes!...:) |

Re: Security suggestions for a very large system
开云体育A lot of large/enterprise-y access control systems support thousands of zones of monitoring – I’m not sure to what extent any are integratable – but whether or not “no combining of devices” is realistic or not really depends on the application. A simple residence, no that doesn’t make a ton of sense. ? A HVI, HVP or corporate/campus security environment that’s absolutely the right (and only, IMO) way to go – it allows not only pin-pointing of an incident occurred, and for things like art which specific piece of art has been disturbed, but in an active incident (e.g. active shooter, burglary in progress, etc.) allows a tremendous amount of insight as to where precisely someone is in the building as well as the path they are taking. ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D ? Re: DIN-AP3 Default Login?
开云体育Hi, i had this happening in the past when there was another device on the LAN with the same IP address as the Crestron controller. (customer said IP is free but it wasn?t…). Actually, this happens always if you try to connect to a non Crestron-device. So it?s probably worth switching off the controller and see if there?s still a device with the controllers IP address responding. Cheers, Thorsten ? ? Re: DIN-AP3 Default Login?
开云体育If there is a cp3 on the project on the same vlan, you could load up a program with the ssh module in slot 2 and have it connect to the ap3 on port 22 and see if the default gateway is jacked. Just use debugger on the tx line
to send data to the ap3.?
I did this a while ago on an amp that had the wrong gateway, except instead of ssh I just used a TCP/IP client on 41795. This is slightly different but should work.?
Doesn't help if you have the wrong credentials though...
