Re: Lexicon MC-10

Cough Core 110f cough.?

Re: XPanel port 42872 workaround

Yes that trick works Phil, it's just an arse having to do it especially when you are on site and there's half a dozen contractors all bending your ear and you miss the opportunity.
Thing is this used to work years ago when SG XPanel first appeared and worked for a few years then something broke and that was that.
Also when you are making small visual changes and you are having to re-load the XPanel each time.

I've just tried the F11 shortcut and the IP address keeps defaulting to 192.168.1.103 even though the last IP I set was 10.2.102.11.

Re: Lexicon MC-10

Not enough room for all the connections on the back?? Even for just a 7.1 channel processor, by the time you add the analog outputs and a small number of HDMI inputs / outputs, you would quickly run out of space.

I concur.

I have discovered that if you?go into the settings before it fully loads the file, it will have the last used settings (Address, port, and IPID) rather than resetting them.

Yes it kinda works if you run it from VTP with F11.
Does not work if you double click the vtz.
Still defaults to?42872.

In my mind the default behaviour should be to default to the last setting entered.
So if my last settings are:
10.2.100.30
41792
A1

It should reopen on those settings not:
127.0.0.1
42872
03

This issue has been around so long it was reported on Labs long before labs became the graveyard it is now.
Sorry Dave, you got my hopes up and once again I've had the rug pulled from under me :)

I agree with Slip!! remembering the last setting should be default (I think it was that long before, wasn't it?)

Dave H - This is one of many items that when I see it, it confirms my lack of confidence in Crestron's willingness to fix issues with their software/FW. Though it, in and of itself is a tiny, stupid little thing, It underscores the imposed costs to my business...??
If you have any say with the 'higher ups' please tell them to redirect *some* of their concern to the professional community vs. the wizarding community. I understand why they're focused on CH, but it is not the panacea that they think its going to be...

New Processor FW v1.603.0113

Has anyone seen any issues with this FW from last week???
Obviously it's supposed to fix the Sonos S1 Comm's/#Favs issue, but wanted to see if there were any unexpected problems...
I have a couple sites I need to update this week...

TIA!

Re: XPanel port 42872 workaround

Fixed bug where the default port in the connection settings of Run As in VTPro intermittently changes to 42872.

Here is a link to the Protocol Document. ?I am creating my own module since the MC-8 is a complete different set of commands. ?So far, I am finding all the commands in the doc to be good.

The AudioControl Maestro module works for everything but inputs, I just ended up using IR for that.

Yeah - the MC-12 was from about 19 years ago and Lexicon's own platform.

The MC-10 is more or less an Arcam AV860 in a different box, Logic7 added, and a few other minor feature tweaks.

Hi,
AFAIK the MC-10 has nothing in common with the MC-12, totally different platform. The MC-10 is basically based on Arcam (both part of Harman group). So i would rather expect an Arcam module to work than an MC-12 module.

Re: Processor not recognising unchanged IP table.

I'm sure that the shade power supply/hub has the same issue as the other hubs.
It totally makes sense.

Eventually, Crestron will fix it, but not until they can find something else to break.

Re: Crestron RMC3 with Cisco Touch 10 and Codec Pro

No, not needed for the RMC3 to connect. Just need SSH turned on and configured properly in your module. You can also try changing the SSH connection type to "Unsecure" in the Parameters if you simply want to test your connection and troubleshoot the key later.

Crestron also just released a free program for the RMC3 that you simply configure via an Xpanel.

I assume you are a dealer of course and have access to this.

Remote System Definition

Re: Processor not recognising unchanged IP table.

I don't have either a DIN-CEN-CN-2 nor the CAEN-BLOCK-CENCN-2-POE in my program. I do however have a?CSA-PWS10S-HUB-ENET, and it very possibly that I only saw this pop up on this project after I added that device to the software.

Odd that I saw this in the past though on one CP3 which had no such Cresnet extenders, and it went away only after a restore. Oh well, hopefully it'll get fixed then in a future Toolbox release.

Re: Processor not recognising unchanged IP table.

RSD?

Re: Processor not recognising unchanged IP table.

I've noticed the same thing with regards to the CAEN-BLOCK-CENCN-2-POE.
I was told that there is a known issue with the later versions of Toolbox and these devices.
IP ID conversion makes sense because Slot 1 ethernet is connected to Cresnet A and Slot 2 ethernet is Cresnet B.

This really shows up when trying to use D3Pro.? It can't verify any devices connected to the Cresnet on them.
Even the ethernet to Cresnet internal card on these devices shows as offline.

I was told by tech support to back down my Toolbox to 3.03.424 and this would go away.
I haven't tried it yet because, right now, it's just a minor annoyance.

Re: VTPro issues

Why haven't all of you moved to using CH5 now???
Oh wait...that's right!...it still doesn't work...:):):)

Re: Processor not recognising unchanged IP table.

It does this every time when you have a DIN-CEN-CN-2 in your program. I mentioned it offhand to someone at Crestron and they said it's probably because there is some IP ID conversion that's happening under the hood. I keep meaning to submit it as a bug report and I always forget to.?

Re: VTPro issues

Supposed to... but it still does anyway.
