Most common cause is not recompiling the SIMPL program properly.
FW v1.603.0113 requires SIMPL program running must be compiled with DevDB 91 [Jul.2020] or later.
Also make sure you use Recompile All (ALT+F12) or delete SPlsWork folder before recompiling to ensure the compile isn't referencing temp files from a previous compile.
Software Requirements: !! Device Database 91.00 or greater

Honeywell 4232BCM v1.4 and Vista 20p
Hi,
Has anyone been able to make the Honeywell 4232BCM version 1.4 module work with the Vista 20p alarm panel and a CP3?
I cannot get any communication back from the device (alarm panel) on version 1.4 no matter what i do or change in the alarm settings (keypad address 17)
They old version 1 module does work as expected.
Any help would be appreciated,

Local is a virtual signal that the compiler reserves (along with 0 and 1), although I don't know how it's used.? I would try Project/Resync Project, or go back to an older version of your SMW, otherwise contact Crestron.

I've actually run into 2 projects where the processor had a current license and had been operating fine.? Upon updating firmware, for whatever reason, the lighting stopped working and reverted back to pre-license operation.? Nothing worked and we actually had to remove the applied license (PITA - consists of prompt commands), rename the hostname (although we were told this didn't matter in the key generation), and have a new license key generated for the processor.? Once applied, it started working again.

Well I was remoting into a site yesterday that Sonos was broken and tried the new firmware and guess what? Still doesnt work. Rebooted Sonos units, rebooted CP3 several times. No favorites had been set either. Just getting in the logs now (when dedug is enabled):

Firmware blocking the telnet port is not the problem. You need a Lutron 3rd party lighting license from Crestron. They are free now just have to submit your processor info to them. If you look in your error log after a boot it will have a message about certain MAC addresses that need a license.?

required for IP control of Lutron if you¡¯re running with firmware from after the change.

As of several to many months ago there is not a charge for the license but it is still required and must be requested/¡±ordered¡± from Crestron.

I avoid IP control of Samsungs, specifically for this reason, and because of the many similar complaints from other programmers.
FYI, should be able to update the module for 200+ compatibility, even if you don't have the S# source.

There are MC-10 modules available. Got them from their site.? There is both an RS232 module and an IP module.? I installed one about 3 months ago.? FYI you can not simultaneously have the ethernet port available and control via RS232.? It is one or the other.? So if you plan on controlling via RS232 you will need to do the CAL before changing the control option.? I just switched the client to RS232 because the PRO2 stop controlling via IP for some reason.

I use this module but not for the same Samsung reference and it works on the other hand, I had a problem when I wanted to use it with a PMC3 : it can't work. You need a series 3.
?
The module works strangely: the analog FB of the selected input is incorrectly returned either by the Samsung or by the module.
?
It is a pity that there is no documentation on the information exchanged between the module and the Samsung.

So are you saying that HAI is no longer available?? It has been a while since I integrated one in a new project but I too have always like HAI products.? Seems like most security panels come with there own app nowadays so we seldom add Security panels to a Crestron systems anymore. Thanks, Steve @johnmax
I never found HAI to be unreliable at all. Those things are solid and we will miss them. But like you we are in the same boat need need something more custom than Honeywell. Our company owner was holding on to hope that there would be something on the Bosch-Crestron front but it appears they have stopped development so looks like we only have a few options.?

What is everyone doing for IP control of Samsung? The Samsung IP driver from the application market isn't being updated to work with the new database. Has everyone switched to certified drivers? I really don't like them as they are allot to deal with, but I need a solution to replace that module if / when I update these programs. Has anyone tried the Creston Connected models, it doesn't help me with older TVs but just curious?

I even installed one at my own house.? I don't really need an alarm system per se but it is a great way to define whether the home is occupied or not (armed away vs. armed stay or disarmed) along with an inexpensive way of integrating a wide range of sensors.

Lately, I've been hounding Crestron to add it to Home as a supported system.
I believe that it will be integrated with that soon.
We don't use Home very often, but it would be a nice addition.
Most of our projects are SIMPL, and the ELK systems work perfectly.
They can be integrated via Serial or IP and the protocol is identical for each (just need a TCP/IP client symbol).
Modules have been available for a long, long time.
It supports up to 208 zones, 8 partitions, 205 outputs (relay/voltage) and is easily programmed with their ELK RP software.
There's a really nice custom rules engine built into their software.
I've installed both Honeywell and ELK for many years, and the ELK is so much more "friendly" to install and program.
Also, if your replacing a Interlogix system with wireless, they have a 319.5MHz wireless receiver that is compatible with Interlogix sensors.
Probably the best thing about them is that you can get a human on the phone in no time should you ever have a question!
