Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address
Thanks for the help guys. I ended up finding a handy python script on github that let me figure out the sudo password. |
Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches
I had this exact issue using that pakedge switch? a while back.? Ended up buying a Cisco 350x and still had the same problem.? Finally figured it out after a number of headache filled days.??
Do you have unregistered multicast filtering enabled?? If NVX is working you probably do.? That setting will break Dante so you need to forward on some specific multicast addresses to the Dante device ports.?

Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address
Unofficial way: open it up, extract the SD card, make a image of it, use a HEX editor, replace the deadbeef mac with the correct one, write the image back to the SD card.
Or try contact true blue and hope to get a hold of an engineer who knows the sudo credentials to change the mac that way. |
Re: Samsung Frame TVs
Hello... normally I only install Sony and the control of those are solid. Unfortunately a client wanted a lot of Frame TVs. I'm attempting to control them via IP with a Crestron driver and they work for the most part, but occasionally miss commands. I'm insured that the two options under network settings are enabled and on. I've also noticed that the NIC card does go to sleep in the TVs, so I'm assuming the MAC is needed for WOL. What has anyones experience been with reliability and did you have to do something extra to make sure it worked correctly every time? Thanks!

Re: DMPS3-4K-100-C network connection issue
Keith Borgstrom
I had the same problem several months ago with a new classroom install. The advanced replacement from Crestron fixed the issue. It has been rock solid since then. What specific issue are you having with Dante? Discovery? Dropouts? Clocking? if it¡¯s clocking then you might just need to enable QoS |
DMPS3-4K-100-C network connection issue

Firmware is current, tried different cables, network switches and rolled back firmware as well still with the same results. |
Re: NVX and DANTE on Cisco 2960-x Switches
Maybe you need use different VLANs to NVX and Dante. You need check if the switch capacity of processing is ok (bandwidth). I think this is not your problem, but, a doble check can help you. Maybe this doc can help you. If you can use the NVX in your configs, i Think you is able tu use Dante. Try remove all NVX and check if your dante work. Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYeah, that joke gets used a lot in testing hardware ¨C it may have just not had the correct MAC programmed in. Not the first time. As long as you don¡¯t have another DEAD BEEF 1234 on the same network it shouldn¡¯t cause any real issues on its own. On the other hand check to make sure everything else is working as expected as there is a small chance that this could be a sign of an impending failure. ? ? I don't have record of what the MAC Address was, but the panel was defective out of the box (it was touching itself in weird places and calibration, restore, init, etc. wouldn't fix it). That was a fun call to True Blue when it reported both a bogus Serial Number (one not on our PO) AND a bogus MAC Address. The sticker satiated the claim, though, and we got an advanced replacement.? |
Re: Avoid latest versions of SIMPL when programming for 2- or 3-series for now
The Biamp modules were version 1.5. Two workarounds seem to exist: rollback to the older SIMPL, or update the firmware on the processor. Either fix alone solved it. The program was from 5 years ago and I was only adding an XPanel to it, so I was trying to tread lightly.

Re: Program Restart.
#console
Like Steve said, just reboot.? If you actually wanted to restart a program, though, it would be "progreset -p:1" for the program in slot 1. On Sun, Jun 21, 2020 at 11:27 AM Steve Kuehn <steve@...> wrote:
