Re: Hikvision IP Camera control
Ultamation, the only way to go. But there are only a few models and firmware that works. Good luck, I waisted a lot of time amd money to get this to work. Ultamation guys were the only ones that were able to help me but you still have to do some programming to get it the way you want. I wish there was another NVR that its manufacturer provides a Crestron module to control it via IP. It must be I just don't know any

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHow did you manage to clone the drive and is their any reason why it not possible to put a bigger (2tb) drive in.Thinking of doing the same on an only unit? Regards

Re: Send Balanced Mono to Balanced Stereo Input on DMPS
Mike Slattery
Here are some audio wiring tricks to use.
For balanced inputs do on leave the + or - connections open. Always connect to Gnd. For Active balanced outputs never connect the + or - to Gnd. If the output is a transformer or Cross-Coupled, then connect these outputs to GND. These days most all outputs are Active. At Rane we use to do Cross-Coupled outputs and it was listed in the manual. Balanced mono to balanced stereo. Usually you can just run two balanced audio cables in parallel from the stereo input and connect both to the Balanced mono. + -------------------- L+ & R+ - --------------------- L- & R- Gnd ---------------- L & R Gnd Balanced stereo to unbalanced stereo L+ ---------------- L L- N/C Gnd -------------- Gnd & L- R+ ---------------- R R- N/C Gnd -------------- Gnd & R- Unbalanced stereo to balanced stereo L -------------------- L+ Gnd ---------------- Gnd & L- R --------------------- R+ Gnd ---------------- Gnd & R- Unbalanced stereo to balanced Mono. This is the one that almost always gets connected wrong causing the audio to sound like karaoke. This happens when you connect L to - and R to +. If the output is RCAs, you can usually connect the L&R outputs together. As long as the output impedance is >= 600 ohms. A lot of times you just don¡¯t know and for these you should use the RDL TX-J2. If you have some 620 to 1K ohm resistors, you can do this. L -------[620]--------- R+ Gnd ---------------- Gnd & R- R -------[620]--------- R+ Balanced Stereo to Balanced Mono Here is a cool trick to use without having to add an RDL bridge while maintaining the CMRR of the input. L- ---------------- - L+ N/C Gnd -------------- Gnd R+ ---------------- + R- N/C Gnd -------------- Gnd Mike Slattery |
Re: RS232 protocol for Sony UBP-X1000
That model only responds to IR, not even RS232. The receiver window is behind the eject button.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe AUDIO inputs can receive an unbalanced or balanced signal. They corespondent to the same inputs as the HDMI / VGA sources.?The LINE/MIC inputs are fed through the mixer whereas the AUDIO input is a source.? Ryan Cunningham? On Jun 5, 2020, at 9:26 PM, TJP <Ssute01@...> wrote:

Re: Autonomic MMS-5A and flash
I wouldn't count on any updates from Snap. My MMS-2A went belly up and when I called them they said the device was now obsolete and they wouldn't do any sort of repair work on it.
I know it's getting old but 2 grand and they won't help? All righty then. It actually worked out for the best though. With nothing to lose I pulled the drive and actually managed to restore it with registry backup files on the drive itself. So I cloned it then put in a new 1T SSD and now have a nicer unit with no need for a NAS or USB drive to have enough storage.? While I was at it I doubled the RAM in it from 2g to 4g with some old laptop memory sticks I had laying around and now it seems a bit quicker to index. And FWIW, even though the iPad app is kinda crappy that should still work. Also, the iPad app for the McIntosh MS500 streamer will work since that's just a Mirage with some fancier internals.? I don't know how their Windows app works but it seems like it should keep going since there's no browser involved. The setup pages are just straight HTML so they should just keep working no matter what. I liked Autonomics more before Snap snapped 'em up... |
