Re: Pressed appearance of Buttons - VTPro #crestron #crestronapp

Thanks a lot @Gavin, great info.

I might end up doing that after I finish with this job. The CT Neo theme looks good enough for 2020 IMO but those pressed states really ruin it for me.

it depend on what lutron system you have : there are several versions
available you may control them using RS232 / LAN and theirs even a
wireless one
whichever one you use (except wireless) will integrate very well with
crestron

You can also use a 12v relay to power it on and off.

Re: Wireless control with Zoom rooms

I'm just going to through this out there...

Maybe a Surface Pro running remote desktop? Split Zoom and Xpanel on the host PC. Maybe.

Re: Wireless control with Zoom rooms

We are using custom i7 PC's to run Zoom, so no flex product.
Using
biamp audiaflex, ten table mics
360 degree usb camera
Some nvx 350s
2 projectors / motorized screens

I haven't settled on the sip interface, we were going to give the Zoom Phone a try, it has an Interop with our Mitel phone system. That way the UI is consistent
Thanks for the input!

Which Lutron system (e.g. Homeworks QS)?

Likely you¡¯d need a Lutron QSE-CI-NWK-E Control Interface.

Re: Pressed appearance of Buttons - VTPro #crestron #crestronapp

You have two options really -
1. Advanced buttons allow anything to be the pressed & selected state including your own graphics. However these can be time consuming to do a large number of and also I believe they are not as optimal for performance (More of an issue if you are writing a UI for a legacy x50 panel or older iPad).

2. Create a new theme - You can download the CT_Neo theme from the Application market (you need the reasources and the theme export). Open it in Studio and save as a new theme - you can then do the file name swap in reasources to load your new files in place. This takes longer to do to change a few buttons but if you do a comprehensive job of modifiying the graphics you will have a reuseable theme. (In general the Studio theme editing is a bit wierd and not very well documented but if you are simply looking to colour swap or make mild modifications its easy enough)

Hi,

the latest Crestron module from Trinnov is v1.0.17.

You can download it directly from there website (support => downloads=>drivers=>Crestron).

You have to provide MAC address and IP address as parameters and then power on works.

Be aware that the Altitiude32 doesn?t power on via RS232.

Re: Pressed appearance of Buttons - VTPro #crestron #crestronapp

The other options if you want to avoid using advanced buttons would be to put two entirely different buttons, one directly on top of the other with visibility joins so only one can show at a time.

Of course you can also always edit themes in crestron studio and just edit the selected state. Although studio can be a bit of a pain getting used to if you've never used it.

Looks extremely tacky IMO, is there something to do?

Thanks for the information. Really appreciate it.

If I may ask, what are you using? theme-wise, I'm really open for anything really, I just hate the thick blue pressed state.

Re: Pressed appearance of Buttons - VTPro #crestron #crestronapp

Just be cautious using tooo many Advanced Buttons. If you use them in a SRL, you will seriously lag the panels. Those buttons were added just for features, but they also drain the meager adobe air (flash) engine to make the panels take a while to draw.

Re: Modifying part of a Serial String with an Analog Value #bestpractices #crestron #values

Thanks a lot @Lincoln King-Cliby

Unfortunately I had to move on from that in order to finish other parts of the project/program, but I will definitely revisit it later on.

Thanks again mate!
