I second Tony's choice. Wirepath are very easy to integrate. And their
support is great.

There should be two layers of crosspoints. One is between the interface

selection.

The next layer is from the audio zone to the source (Mirage). This is
driven by source selection, after the audio zone has been selected.

Both of these layers are mutually exclusive connections (interlocked) and
are independent of one another. The xpanel can connect to the kitchen,
then select mirage and control the volume of the kitchen zone and the
functions of the Mirage through the kitchen zone. It can also connect to a
different zone and select a different source. The kitchen zone would still
maintain it's connection to the Mirage source.

Scenario-
xpanel turn on the kitchen audio zone and control the Mirage server.
My confusion comes in at the point of having the swampe as 1002d and the
mirage as 1001d (connection fed from an init to econn equipment id). How do
I keep the logic (volume up/ down, zone power, music selections) straight
when I have to hit my equipment ID first to make the connection to the
equipment before I let the logic for that device flow. Ie., zone power on,
select mirage, volume...... It feels like I would need a stepper for every
button to make/ switch the connection to the current equipment
respectively? (best practice?) If I hit volume + then every time I would
need to make the equipment id connection first to allow volume + to change
to the sonnex. Thanks in advance for the basic help

When I got to site it turns out is was my installers wiring and everything is working with the old modules/ codes.

I just thought I would share in the phone call I got where a I was told by a products tech support that the only people who actually know how to control it are the people at Crestron.

Also sorry for not listing the "OT" in the original message.

HP Procurve 2520, I think. It's not the switches, although its odd
that
you have had to reboot your switch. I don't think I've ever had to
reboot
any of these switches.

The problem was traced down to the bridge between the panel's comm
with
the processor and Core 3. We were able to debug that the panel was
receiving the low level communication, but Core 3 wasn't receiving or
reacting to the messages. At this point in the process, they had

HDMI Streaming to a TSW Panel

Anyone have a good way to stream HDMI outputs of a DM switcher to TSW panels? It would be nice to have some video preview, even if it is only low resolution and only for non HDCP sources...

I've had nothing but good luck with TSWs so far, but I'm not doing streaming, intercom or Smart Objects, wondering if adding those is where things start to get unreliable...

Thanks Chip,

The problem is, when the simple way doesn't work I then get a case of self doubt and I start to make things a lot more "complicated" aka "wrong".

I tested my cable again last night with a multi meter and it's fine, same wiring as you mentioned.

I'm wondering, I've had this before but with audio connections, if the audio jack rings are not lining up perfectly with the rings inside the TV....

Only reason being that I now can't see any reason why this isn't working.

I'm only trying the power on, off and power toggle commands and have tried with the TV in an On and Off state.

Re: Internet Radio - Control Via Touchpanels

General question, has anyone been using raspberry PIS as music servers in
residential applications?
With good success?
Working with one now, and wondering how many are using them?

Thanks Nick... maybe if I put a squeezebox emulator on a Rasberry Pi and
then use a squeezebox Module in the Crestron Controller... will give it
a go

Hi,

Am looking to find a solution to get Internet Radio (for multi-room
audio)
controlled from the room touchpanels.

At Present we are using Rasberry Pi's running XBMC as the sources for
the
Crestron Multi-Room amps (2 x C2N-AMP-4x100) the Touchpanels range
from
TPS-4L's to TPMC-8X and a TSW-750. Running with a MC2E Processor.

I have the Crestron XBMC Module Running and it's fine for browsing
MP3's
etc. in the Library. But I cannot get the touchanels to control any of
the
Radio add-ons.

Is there any other way anyone can think of doing this, without have to
purchase an Adagio system or something.

It doesn't have to be XBMC, I just want the user to be able to pick
On-Line
radio stations from the ouchpanel.

Thanks a mil,

Tomas

Re: Samsung UE55ES7000 - EX-Link

I'd make sure that your pins on the DB9 are correct, I've seen DB9's with the pinout printed incorrectly.
