Re: HD-MD8X2 questions
Thanks.? Hoping to get back to this later today.? A little more research indicates that it needs to be setup correctly using DM tool.? But in order to do that, it needs to actually have the sources connected.? the four sources are a Fios cable box, Dune media player, Xbox and his laptop.? I don't have the displays yet but they will both be 60-65 inch Samsung flat screens.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýABiCUS from WAC is the smart home interface. It¡¯s a rebranded converging systems piece. We¡¯re using it for direct control of the fan with Lutron and Crestron Home.On Jul 9, 2024, at 3:03?PM, ckangis via groups.io <chris@...> wrote:

Re: Modern Forms Ceiling Fan Control
My fan unit doesn't have the light option.? The hubitat interface has an option for light control though.?
The connection is purely local, and is via ip from the hubitat controller to the fan controller.? My setup sounds similar in that I have the bluetooth wall controller, and a mobile app. I use this community module https://github.com/bhamiltoncx/hubitat-modern-forms-fan |
Re: CRESTRON CONSTRUCT first impressions
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSend them to the north pole, you will get as good a response as possible . . .I had to change a client upgrade over to Home in order to get any functionality out of the 1080. ?Still finding things to try to make function. ?Really fun. ?Big plug for SIMPL HOME by Ultamation. Someone at the mothership could end the madness by letting the 1080 get the same-ish firmware the 1070s use so SG would work, but *sigh* send that wish to the north pole too.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThanks Thorsten.? I'm glad that the 1.5 version fixed the primary issue.? Let me know if you ever have the time to look at the slow response issue.? I'm glad to help. Thanks again Jay On 7/9/2024 1:05 AM, Thorsten K?hler

Re: Modern Forms Ceiling Fan Control
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThanks John. While the vast majority of modules I've written are free, the Hubitat integration modules I've written are shareware.? They are free for any programmer to use on their own system or for dealers to use in their showrooms for demo purposes.?? I just ask for a one time payment of $100 if the modules are used on customer systems where the programmer/dealer is profiting from my work.? Anyone paying for the modules gets the full S# source code so they can fully support their customers in the future if I'm not available to help.? A single payment also gives the programmer/dealer the right to use the modules on as many customer systems as they want. Obviously I don't get rich doing this?.? It just provides a few extra dollars so I can purchase smart home gear to write articles about. Thanks Jay On 7/9/2024 8:25 AM, john via groups.io

just easier to remove it IMO.Agreed on all XSDS. I just see that when things are continually not designed right and/or not fixed that's out of our control, eventually we'll remove everything and de-value our work! Just because Crestron's new girlfriend is Home, they still have a wife and kids for the last 30 years that they should take care of!!? We'll still be here after the GF exits (like the last 12 of them...)? And I personally have 100+ clients that use this thing... FTR, I'm talking about the original Widget and the V2 app, not the Advanced Weather widget. This probably still works but it doesn't have the 5-day feature... Also interesting: I set up a client's system that's having issues on my bench system. Same ISP, 770, CP4, same FW and it works!...? ?The Digital age SUX!!...:) |
Re: CRESTRON CONSTRUCT first impressions
I agree.? I have to do an entire project in Construct just because they are using the TST panel.? I know that's the point - to make us use it.? Right now I am on hold for TBS because button images only show on press?!? If they want us to use it they can make it really good and we will.? I don't appreciate being shot-gunned into using software. Especially a company that I essentially make money for.

Re: TSW-x70 and the SG Weather App v2
We're global, but a majority of the occurences have been happening in the Southern California region.? I understand the frustration, but after the last bout of this a few years back, I just told my guys, if this happens again we are just pulling all the widgets off as problems arise.? We like to find, fix and explain problems to our clients, its kind of necessary these days, not just some "oh it fixed itself", that doesn't really fly in multi-million dollar projects.

?I just don't see the value in troubleshooting this since it could just break again for no apparent reason and no accountability taken.? Most of the time we would go in, cross check and document firmware on panels, processor, compiler versions, error logs, advanced troubleshooting efforts.? But for something that is completely out of our control even if we found the problem?? Nah, just easier to remove it IMO.? May suggest what Jay said to clients who really want weather information as a good solution. And let's be honest, if we want the weather for now or the week its kind of easier to just pull out your phone and tap an icon.? ;) On Mon, Jul 8, 2024 at 08:21 PM, ckangis wrote: On Tue, Jul 2, 2024 at 01:49 PM, XSDS wrote: |
