Re: Sonos muting
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI've never seen a Sonos device let alone tried to control one, but from the error log "Multicast" and "Broadcast" device discovery strongly suggest that the module is expecting to find Sonos on the same broadcast domain (i.e. subnet) as the
processor?
Multicast routing between subnets/vlans is conceptually possible but I would be surprised if Sonos or the module have been tested in such a scenario... As it is one of my colleagues is battling a "foxed again, broke again, fixed again, broke
again" issue with multicast on the 4-series firmware, but I believe that only affects processors with an internal router (CP4N, PRO4, AV4)

Hey guys, ? 1. Notice: SimplPlus[App01] # 2023-10-14 04:02:55 # CRPCConnectionHelper - Created CIP Transport for ipaddress: 192.168.69.70, port: 41798, adapterID: 0 In the error log.? This sounds like VLan issue. |

Also pretty sure Prodigy keypads are green

Re: Samsung EX-link protocol???
Came home with a S95C last night and unboxed it.? I miss the days when you actually got a manual with these.? Considering how thin it is, was expecting it to be lighter.? It's a heavy hunk of? a TV, I'll give it that.? I'm planing to reuse the existing wall mount from the curved screen I'll be taking down but expecting to have to space it out to make room for the interface.? I'm not sure how good of a test subject I'll be for the Ex-link.? I'm only using on/off and only enough to access smart controls from a TP.? Not even using the TV's audio.? Source switching and audio is handled by the Integra AVR in the rack.? FYI, I'm still on a Pro2 at home.? If it ain't broke don't fix it.? I am kinda pissed that I lost the weather a while back but that's just a tap on a smartphone away.

Re: Prodigy Keypads and Dimmers
I'm 90+% sure that they were the green LEDs.
Crestron at/after this started selling the -E (express) and -P (Pro) versions with Green and White LEDs respectively. The -P were more expensive, so my assumption/memory is that the prodigy was the green ones, since is was an 'entry level' package... |
Re: IC Realtime NVR
Tony, how quick do the panels lock on the stream from that device?
Today I have been working on a RTSP server that will re-encode many streams to whatever I want. I am trying to find a setting that the panels will sync on very fast. So far the fastest is using MJPG, but the steamer I am working with doesn't want to encoder to that. |
Re: IC Realtime NVR
It's very inconsistent. At some sites it works great, but others not so much. For troublesome projects, I've resorted to specifying a separate video encoder connected to the NVR, so the touchpanels only have to deal with a single stream or jpeg. It also allows the security installer to do whatever they want with the NVR and camera settings, without any special considerations for the Crestron panels and apps.

Although some NVR and camera brands are worse than others, I don't know of any I'd consider fool-proof, so a separate encoder greatly simplifies things and increases the likelihood of success. There are lots of similar encoders available, but I've used this one the most - . Dealers and salespeople are often stubborn and don't want to add another "box" (that wasn't their idea) to the system, even at such a ridiculously low price, so I usually include the following statement: "Camera Integration only includes X amount of time to troubleshoot streaming issues. Additional troubleshooting and experimentation time will be billable". That typically prompts them to do things the easy way... :-) --- On Friday, October 13, 2023 at 10:05 AM, johnh wrote: |

hydrogenmanager is enabled, but also hydrogenenable is set to OFF ENABLEFEATURE HYDROGENMANAGER ON/OFF is what enables/disables the XiO Cloud services in SSP/C# Prog0. The same goes for ENABLEFEATURE CLOUDCLIENT ON/OFF and Fusion Cloud / MyCrestron Residential Monitoring cmds like MYCRESTRONACTIVATION. If you don't plan to use the XiO service at all, using ENABLEFEATURE HYDROGENMANAGER OFF is the most thorough. |

The only issue I have had with ex link, is one way serial on 3 series processors.FTR, My problem experience was using a DM RMC serial port (2-way) vs. a processor port. This site in question has all older Sammy's controlled with the same port without issue. I've also used the 1-way control via IR ports in the past without issue... Stefuel2, Please keep us posted about your experience as I would love to know that EX-link is reliable again!! |
