Interesting. This isn¡¯t an issue that I¡¯ve seen before and have a few Crestron + Sonos systems out there.?
Would really like to hear if people do have S1 & S2 systems still working fully! |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYes, there is an issue between Crestron and Sonos, but it has nothing to do with the S2 or S1.? Basically, over time, the system errors out and looses connection.? To get it back, the processor will need to be rebooted.? I have many many systems out there and it seems like the larger the system the quicker it has issues.? I have some small ones that seem to work just fine, even with the errors.? I have larger ones (25-30 devices) that seem to only last a few hours before needing the processor rebooted.? I have one system 24 devices that I had to put in programming to reboot it at midnight and at 5:00 in the afternoon just to keep it from going offline.? The main error that I see is ? Error: splusmanagerapp.exe # 2020-09-29 03:36:55? # [WebSocket]<00000000> WebSocketClientConnect: Error: ipaddress lookup by hostname failed ? The system will start getting these and after some time, eventually disconnect from the Sonos. ? Not sure this will help you, but I thought I would send it for informational purposes. ? DAVE ? Issues with Sonos & Crestron
Have had 3 projects today suddenly lose the ablity for the Crestron to control the volume of Sonos equipment using the official module v.3.1.0.
I know there was a large update to S2 a few days ago which im assuming these projects have auto updated to. Can anybody confirm if they've got issues or if their systems are all good? Thanks |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWe?re doing high end cinemas. With a 200¡° screen with 4K@60 4:2:2 you?ll see the difference. For these use cases we always do local attached sources, wouldn?t use NVX for that. I had a hunch it had to use some sort of lossy compression. Of course, the HDBase-T technology that DM uses doesn't have unlimited bandwidth either.? From what I've read it's limited to 10Gbps or 16Gbps, depending on which generation of the chipset is being used.? It sounds like 16Gbps may allow for uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 because it doesn't have the 20% overhead that HDMI itself has, but earlier versions of HDBase-T need to use a form of lossy compression to handle 18Gbps signals. So I've been running across this NOTICE quite a bit recently and wasn't able to quite track down where this NOTICE was coming from.? It doesn't exactly give you an idea of which module and in programs with tons of modules, its a little difficult.? I finally got a little time to try and track this puppy down and low and behold it is coming from this module:
Media Server Object Router v4.0 (cm) This has been a new one since some sort of update Im sure, but given which databases we can use and which we can't update to yet, has anyone run across this and/or a fix for this?? I have an RTI 16i amplifier running my house. I had to use it due to rack space, it¡¯s 16ch, 1RU and 9¡± deep. Not the greatest of amps but can easily keep you can get them from any distribution that carries RTI these days. |

These comments are all very helpful. ?I've gone into the Simpl module. ?There are things in the program that do not connect to the module. ?I think the previous programmer must have upgraded the module when he upgraded the firmware on the TSTAT. ?The existing module does have a force digital and force analog area. ?It looks like there is a separate module for each thermostat. ?I could just add the signals. ?My other thought is to just delete the ambiguous signals. ?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSounds to me like the HVAC module was set to compile only for a Series 2 and not a Series 3.? Try opening the HVAC modules (SIMPL and SIMPL+) and set the compile settings to both Series 2 and Series 3 and then recompile.If worst comes to worst, you can take all those undeclared signals and put force analog or force series or a force digital symbol on them. For SIMPL+, there are some differences between the Series 2 and Series 3.? So you may have to do some rewriting of the code to get them to work on a Series 3.? There are also some cases with SIMPL symbols working slightly differently between the Series 2 and Series 3.?
