Re: VT project for ipad mini 4

I had this happen a few months ago, and it was because the client had mistakenly installed the iPhone app on one of the iPads.

Re: Infratech heater - 0-10v range to use?

I worked on a project with a few of these a couple of years ago. I didn't perform any scientific testing, but there was definitely a difference between say 30%, 60%, and 100%. It wasn't very noticeable between smaller increments, so I simply gave them "High", "Medium", "Low", and "Off" settings. I don't remember the exact model of Infratech heaters they had, or if that makes a difference.

Re: Cisco SX80 and Touch 10 Communication with Crestron DMPS3-200-C

You just need to create the GUi, and load to the codec. You can give your own name to each control, or use the default assigned when you create the control. In the program, use the cisco touch 10 modules, one for each control.(there is one for each type of control you can create) Put the name of the control widget from the gui editor in the paramWidgetId field, and tie all the modules to the control processor module, then send to the codec via your serial or SSH connection -
initialize the control processor module after codec or processor reboot, and that
should be all you need to do.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but do I need to do certain codeing in cicso VC or making the GUI using cisco end room controller is enough.

We built a few systems with the Touch 10, SX80 and an RMC3 processor, also used an external switcher driving the presentation input. Main issues we had - make sure you create the custom UI in the same CE version as the codec, there are quite a few differences between versions. Module has to initialize after a codec or processor reboot, so you need to trigger an initialization with a delay from either the program restart or the codec restart. You should be able to use the Cisco Touch 10 module in application market without too much difficulty, or if not the command reference for 9.3 is here:

Re: Tekmar Snow Melt 654

Have one of these on a job but it was added later and no way of getting tn4 bus wire to the existing 482 gateway that has the radiant tstats. So we have no way of talking to the snow melt zone. But even if it was wired into the bus, the 654 has no tekmar id that can be set within it that I could find, so I dont see how the Tekmar rs-232 module can even talk to it.?

We have resorted to using our own relays to control the snow melt.?

I have not seen a module for snowmelt, sorry.

?

Do you have a light on any of the bus ports?? One or more will light up when the bus is properly connected. Irrespective of that the test button should work if properly connected.? Let me know if you need a good contact over there.

Yes, we have the 482 and my field guy was just connected directly to it from his computer with their supplied cable. I'm at the office.? We also tried the Serial Port test, which implies it will send back the current firmware version and protocol on its TX string; but we get nothing.? We're going to call them.

You have the 482 gateway connected to the Tekmar Bus Correct?

Pins on the ethernet connector on the 482 Gateway are 4,5,6 ¨C the document shows this

?

Modules exist for all of the Tekmar items.

Hey all,

? Has anyone integrated at Tekmar Snow Melt system ("TStat" #654)? It does not appear that the Crestron module supports its features and I can't find the protocol for its specific functions, like Melt, Storm, and Off. I have contacted Tekmar, and they seem helpful, but then they say they will get back to me and never do.

Re: CHRISTIE UHD861-P baud rate

Also,

Update the firmware (will give you the ability to adjust your baud rate)
Turn ON Auto-On Enabled
UART 0 should be set to ASCII

These things seem way more complicated than they need to be.

CHRISTIE UHD861-P baud rate

Hey everyone, just in case you run into this monitor, the baud rate in the manual is incorrect. It also does not match the smaller version of this monitor.

The actual baud rate is 115200, not 38400. Christie said they are going to change their manual.

Hopefully it saves you the time it took us to get to the bottom of this one.

Cheers
