I worked on a project with a few of these a couple of years ago. I didn't perform any scientific testing, but there was definitely a difference between say 30%, 60%, and 100%. It wasn't very noticeable between smaller increments, so I simply gave them "High", "Medium", "Low", and "Off" settings. I don't remember the exact model of Infratech heaters they had, or if that makes a difference.

You just need to create the GUi, and load to the codec. You can give your own name to each control, or use the default assigned when you create the control. In the program, use the cisco touch 10 modules, one for each control.(there is one for each type of control you can create) Put the name of the control widget from the gui editor in the paramWidgetId field, and tie all the modules to the control processor module, then send to the codec via your serial or SSH connection - initialize the control processor module after codec or processor reboot, and that should be all you need to do. |
Infratech heater - 0-10v range to use?
Hi all, We have a house with 6 heaters and they say the range isn't really working, the heaters are really just on or off. I tried using like 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%,50%,60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%. But I am being told that the heat is more like a switch and just really either on or off. Has someone worked with these and figured out a curve that I can scale to such a like 66% is min and 90% is max kind of thing? I know it all varies but how many heaters, how high up they are mounted, the model, etv. But?wondered if someone has experienced this and has any tips. Thanks! Jon? |

Have one of these on a job but it was added later and no way of getting tn4 bus wire to the existing 482 gateway that has the radiant tstats. So we have no way of talking to the snow melt zone. But even if it was wired into the bus, the 654 has no tekmar id that can be set within it that I could find, so I dont see how the Tekmar rs-232 module can even talk to it.?
We have resorted to using our own relays to control the snow melt.? |

We built a few systems with the Touch 10, SX80 and an RMC3 processor, also used an external switcher driving the presentation input. Main issues we had - make sure you create the custom UI in the same CE version as the codec, there are quite a few differences between versions. Module has to initialize after a codec or processor reboot, so you need to trigger an initialization with a delay from either the program restart or the codec restart. You should be able to use the Cisco Touch 10 module in application market without too much difficulty, or if not the command reference for 9.3 is here: jim |

CHRISTIE UHD861-P baud rate
Hey everyone, just in case you run into this monitor, the baud rate in the manual is incorrect. It also does not match the smaller version of this monitor. The actual baud rate is 115200, not 38400. Christie said they are going to change their manual. Hopefully it saves you the time it took us to get to the bottom of this one. Cheers |
