It is an STX-1700, it will look crappy no matter what font you use.
You can't compare it to clarity of modern panels or IPADs, will never come close. Have to do quite a few upgrades with them UGH recently. Arial Bold seems to be about the best you can do. I'm lucky enough to have to work on one of these old panels and having trouble getting any of the fonts to look even halfway good. Can anyone pass along some tips for working with these devices in the latest VTPRO software?
Setting x2 in the view helps, but it's still hard to layout that way. I've been using just Arial text with the font even set below the choices and still looks crappy. |

Smartboard USB control over DM USB-HID
Can I use the USB-HID ports on the DM-RMC-Scaler and DM 8x8 input cards to send the Smartboard control to and from the pc.
Is the Smartboard considered an HID device? The PC is located in a cabinet with the DM8x8 and the Smartboard is located on an adjacent wall about 30' away Thanks for any info you may have. |

It is very simple..?
Works only with windows OS. It represents only windows buttons and discrete commands. Once the controller is intalled to the server, it?s good to be set up to start everytime when the OS has been started. On the crestron part is needed a TCP/IP client (static IP of the server and port 5150) and a SIO. e.g. simple commands : VK_DOWN\x0D VK_UP\x0D Note: the "enter" button is "VK_RETURN\x0D" .. it took me a while to find it. ________________________________ From: stefuel2 <stefuel@...> To: Crestron@... Finally got the "protocol" -- it's a semi-accurate, semi-complete
description of two HTTP requests; one to control the outlets, and one to get status. A few minutes with Wireshark while using the web interface will get you better information on more commands. Yeah, been there. Adding *anything* to a program with >100,000 signals
is painful. Makes me wonder about the data structures that SIMPL uses internally -- way too many operations are O(n) or worse. Instead of copy/paste, if you can, drop in a new module, Ctrl-Shift-B to autoname, and F9. Should halve the time. In contrast, dropping in a new module, right-click-drag and copy all signals/parameters will take about twice as long. It's a lot like how (even in a huge program) a typed signal can be instantly highlighted green, but it takes forever to bring up the signal list.
