The non wall dock work fine, if you go from the cable that goes into dock, put that into lighting adaptor into iPhone or touch. You good.

Not to hijack the thread, but is anyone using AirPlay extensively? I have a few customers who use it via AppleTV, and chose to forego dedicated docks, but sometimes AirPlay devices don't show up as available, necessitating a WiFi on/off cycle (on the iPhone/etc)...or a phone call to me.

Crestron at one time mentioned (in-wall) docks for the iPad mini, but I haven't seen anything regarding Lightning or new form-factor's in a while.

*Crazy wish list Idea*
With Simpl# / SimplPro coming online in the future, is there any possibility of utilizing the stereo-outs on the MC3 for things like a Pandora client, AirPlay client, etc?

Re: Fusion RoomView DeviceUsage Serial Attribute

I thought you used to be able to just send serial text to that attribute
and have it logged correctly, but apparently not. Digging around the
RoomView demo program (available from the RVSE page, not the Fusion RV
page) seems to indicate that the DeviceUsage$ format is an overengineered
monstrosity:

makestring (To_RV_Device_Usage$,
"USAGE||-||-||TIME||%s||%s||-||%s||-||%s||%s||", // I think I'm in |-|3||
Asset_Type$, Asset_Name$, itoa(g_iLastUsedminutes), sAssetID, sMeetingID);

Fortunately it appears that sAssetID and sMeetingID can be "-", which is
good since I have no idea what I would set them to.

Anybody built a sane version of this module yet that doesn't wake up 12 S+
modules every 10 seconds just to increment a counter?

the selected room.)

The string must be formatted as follows:

<error severity>:<msg>

Error codes are defined as follows:

If the error string is not formatted correctly, RoomView assigns a default
severity to the error and logs the entire string.

Subject: [Crestron] Fusion RoomView DeviceUsage Serial Attribute

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to configure various control systems we have to send
information to fusion roomview using the default attributes that are in the
roomview module itself, as well as some custom attributes we have made.
Most seem to be OK, but we can't trigger reports from the 'DeviceUsage'
serial attribute that you can send roomview through the roomview module
(either version 7 or 8).

I was wondering if anyone had made alot of use of this serial string back
to roomview and knew if you have to construct the string in a certain way
for the roomview server to adequatley process it for reports? In a similar
way maybe to how the 'errormessage' serial string has to be constructed in
a certain way?

Any advice or experience you've had would be really great! I'm not sure if
this should work or not!

Cheers!

Re: MLX-3: Wake on hard button or simply send command

Not to hijack your thread, Heather, but if anyone knows the same thing for
the MLX-2, it would be appreciated. I've got one that requires a hard
button press to wake and another that issues the command immediately. Both
are the newer version (with Guide and Info labels instead of Page Up/Down
labels) and are running the same firmware version. They're connected to
different gateways, but I'd like them to behave the same way for
consistency.

Hi there everybody.

My first TPCS-4SM. Loaded the SIMPL program, appeared to go fine, but Toolbox info reports no program. Cannot debug. Program does not appear to be running. Tried restarting the panel and my PC. Running latest firmware. Panel connected directly to my laptop. Cresnet devices in the program, but not connected.

At the DEV console, "DIR" returns what appears to be the correct file list.

I had an MC3 that seemed to have a similar issue. Only fix was a firmware downgrade.

VTPro project seems to run fine.

Anyone run into something similar?
