Anyone else see this? 2nd one I've seen like this in a year. Are they
taking refurbed boards and throw them in new chassis? I thought they are
legally supposed to disclose refurbished product as "refurbished product"
not new.

I used the vsx 84 module for my 92, worked for me, don't remember how close or not but I used it for several years before upgrading recently

the pio avr's act funny on 232 though, any command sent to the avr will turn it on, even the power off command, turn on delay was longer on 232 than ir as well

I am not 100% certain on this, but am pretty sure that the query command is "?OUTPUT,1&#92;n".

The Action number is only for actual commands:
For example, Action 1 is set output level
#OUTPUT,1,1,80,4,1&#92;n - this will set unit ID 01 to 80%, 4 sec fade, 1 sec delay
#OUTPUT,1,2&#92;n - will just raise the level of unit ID 01
... and so on.

The query command does not use the Action number, I believe.

AudioControl amplifiers. They're not the cheapest, but they are small (3U), relatively cool, rock-solid*, and powerful. They can withstand some serious abuse, including multiple 2-ohm loads on a single amp. As to control, there are multiple options involving dry contacts and 12V which work as expected. The DSP/EQ on thusly-equipped models is easy to set up. They ventilate passively bottom-up, and you can stack up to 3 of them together for a "chimney" effect with no problems.

Just put your matrix/preamp of choice in front - PAD8/BIPAD, Extron, etc.

*The D3200 has proven unreliable on the Ethernet side; I have high hopes for the upcoming D3400 & D4400 but nothing to report just yet. The *1 amplifiers suffer from the same Ethernet problems.

I love using Crestron Sonnex, but for some projects it is just to expensive. The AAE's aren't bad, but sometimes they are "too light" for some projects.

What do the rest of you use if you require more power than AAE's, but at a budget? I need a unit with at least 8 zones (16 channels), full and reliable control, pre-amp and amplifier in one or separates, BUT cost less than Sonnex 24x8.

I've recently found some information about a DMCO-77 future relase. It seems to be an DMCO with RSTP streaming capabilities. I'm wondering if there's any information about it somewhere..

I would be excited to integrate DM signals into TSW through RSTP h264.
