Re: MLX-3 Power button problems
gogolftoday
I have had all but one PLX3 and MLX3's go back for the power button at least once --- 2 have gone back multiple times.

Standard procedure is for me to clone power button to the swirl button so clients can turn things off while I am waiting on advance replacement. The only good news is for me -- my personal MLX3 has been rock solid. Still on original set of batteries from October. Knock on wood. --- In Crestron@..., "ChrisK" <chris@...> wrote:

I pulled a module out of my library and put a TXA on the back end...not sure if it'll do exactly what you want, but I thought it'd be worth a try.

Re: Analog to hex to Serial
I might use an ATOD to generate 8 bits from the integer, then run the lower 4 bits (low nibble) into a DTOA, and then shift the upper 4 bits (upper nibble) into a DTOA but put them on bits 1-4 instead of 5-8. That will generate two analog values consisting of two bytes.

IE 5Fh = 05h (high nibble) and 0Fh (low nibble) sounds like you will know what to do from there. I'm sure there are other ways, but this works in my brain better. --- In Crestron@..., Andy Maxey <amaxey@...> wrote:

Hi Andy,

You need to use the Div/Mod symbol to obtain Tens and Units, then a pair of ASUM's to add ASCII offset using an INIT. You will then have two analogs to feed into an ATOS to generate the strings. Trigger the ATOS using a SOS on the ASCII Units analog. Lindsay --- In Crestron@..., Andy Maxey <amaxey@...> wrote:

Everything works great with this module except the "fade time save" has no effect no matter what time I give it from an init. Customer used this module in a project many years ago programmed by Crestron factory and claims it worked OK, so problem may be that I am using it with a 2-series now. (replaced lightning damaged proc in lighting system)
Can anyone look inside this module and tell why it is not working? If you try it, be sure to set the master level up if you want any channels to dim. Fade time PR works OK. Appreciate any help here. MG. |
Analog to hex to Serial
Andy Maxey
I have an analog value that varies from 1 to 40 that I need to insert into a serial string as hex. My first thought was to use an ascalel to convert the analog to hex then I build my string with an atos. What I need is !1PRS01\x0D, but what I'm getting is !PRS\x01\x0D. Is there a way to do what I want without S+?

The GE Networx NX587 module in the files section has chime in it: NX587 4.wave

So I suppose the LAN ports on the TX/RX are exposed to the WAN of the DM? That would only make sense huh?

Re: MLX-3 Power button problems
We've had at least three do this on one job. Client swears they aren't dropping them! One of them had lost the "click" of the switch beneath the button but the other two that I've had my hands on still had the click but the button didn't work. Between this, the scroll wheel issue, and a dead screen we've probably RMA'd ten units. Of course my test/demo at home has been working great for many months....

MLX-3 Power button problems
Hi All,
I've been running one in my house and a couple in a client's house and over all working good (except for the string of wants and needs...). Last week my Power button on the top of the remote stopped working. It still has a press and release feel but no assertion in SMW. of course, I just re-routed the OFF command, updated my family and moved on for now. I just got a call from my client and one of his remotes has done the same thing. Clearly this could have been caused in both cases with a dropped remote, which brings up the secondary issue of robustness. How many of you have had issues with this?? Do you think it is 'drop' related?? of design related?? TIA, Chris K..............;) |

That sounds super awesome! I have to manually config RSTP on each and every project I do, and it can be a major pain -- then there's the added bonus of no longer needing a separate DM vlan...
