Re: Cisco Tandberg SX20
Anyone have a module for the SX20 or know of one? I trued to speak with Cisco about it, but I should have just spent that time talking to the wall...results would have been the same

Re: DM-TX-201-C Failing
DM Transmitters seem to have a much higher failure rate than other devices -- I suspect it might have something to do with how bloody hot they run [I nearly burnt my hand picking up a DM-TX-201-C-2G a couple weeks back...and it wasn't mounted in the (air-tight) electrical box yet.]

When you say "quite a few" can you break that down into numbers? In my experience, averaged across all of the DM jobs (Classic and 8G) I've done 20-25% seems to be the average DM failure rate (either DOA or in the first 30 days) with those failures heavily skewed to transmitters. (Most amusing failure so far: DM-TX-200 with nothing connected to it reporting valid HDMI sync [and DM tool reported HDCP authenticated video, with 24 keys supported, at 0x0 at 0Hz.] -- wouldn't pass HDMI or VGA) Lincoln -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS Sr. Systems Architect | Crestron Certified Master Programmer (Silver) ControlWorks Consulting, LLC Crestron Authorized Independent Programmer -----Original Message-----

Yamaha RX-V671 AV Receiver IP control
joepicuri
Hello,
I am trying to communicate with this receiver via IP. I've set up the port number and IP address on the receiver and placed a TCP client in my program. I am using the IP module for the Yamaha RX-A3000 with the TCP Client. Thus far no luck. In fact I do not see any activity on the status light for the receiver's port number on the switch even if I manually change settings on the receiver. Any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. joe p |
Re: TCP-UDP???
Don't think this is correct. EISC definitely uses UDP. We are using Wireshark and CISCO Capture to debug some performance issues and all EISC communications we have seen is using UDP packets. All Toolbox traffic we have seen is TCP. Tom.

Yes, the subscription-less Pandora accounts get paused after some period of time w/out activity. You'll need to do some kind of interaction with the stream at least every hour or so, or upgrade to P1.

The other option being an input card and TX w/USB on it...

We have a job where a DVI input card (taking video from a source that didn't require the USB) was supposed to accept a keyboard/mouse combo for a tech to use near the rack. We tried a lot of stuff after being told several times, "yeah, it'll work, you just need the right adapters". After *many* attempts the final conclusion was "Sorry - won't work like that after all". I think we're still in deliberations over who gets to pay for the replacement 8G input card and TX box to support the original designed/intended operation. - Chip --- In Crestron@..., "matt_rasmussen_2000" <mjrtoo@...> wrote:

I know this is late but...I just ran into this same issue today and changed the button style from 3D to 2D and everything ran smoothly after that.

ATC-AUDIONET and Pandora Playback Stopping Frequently
enco.josh
I just received my first ATC-AUDIONET card and immediately upgraded to support the new Pandora features. I've left it playing in the office almost all day, and I have noticed that it just stops playing after a while. I figured that this was the generic Pandora "Are you still there?" causing it to stop, but I see no indication from the player that this is the reason. I do not have a Pandora One account. Do I need one? Or has someone figured out a trick to keep it playing continuously?

Re: LC-24LE430M IR discrete codes
Sharp used to be pretty good, but I ran into a unit the other day that I could not find discrete for either. It was the LC-32SV29U. On most standard sharp codes I found, input 2 would send a freeze picture command. I'm guessing your unit might be of the same breed. If anyone finds discrete codes for these toads I would be happy as well.

Re: Locking button active state on iPad
If you are using crosspoints to connect a panel to a zone you must be
initializing an analog value for the zone you want the panel to connect to when you press that "Kitchen" button. Look at using the EQUate symbol with that analog that represents the zone to provide your button feedbacks. If init sets the zone analog to 6 when you press Kitchen, then use equ to provide Kitchen-FB when it is fed a 6. Hope this was not to vague. Kol _____ From: Crestron@... Just looked at netstat with Xpanel running on my desk here at the office (connected to my processors at home) and it looks like that is indeed a TCP connection. Logically what you're saying also makes sense since UDP has no notion of "client" or "server"... Lincoln, wouldn't the loopback address be used when a CIP device is connecting back to the processor, and an IP/Hostname is used when the processor is reaching out to the remote device? I don't remember when/where I was told this, but I was under the impression that EISC was UDP-based, and therefore does not guarantee delivery. I've never bothered to tinker with it and see; I always just forward both protocols. Also, when two processors establish EISC, they each have to have the others IP info in the table or else the connection will not be established. If it was TCP based, wouldn't one be configured as the client and the other the server? This sort of points towards two UDP streams aimed at each other, no? At least that is how my mind sees it. Of course, my mind could be totally hallucinating. --- In Crestron@..., Lincoln King-Cliby <lincoln@...> wrote:

Re: TCP-UDP???
I don't know the reasons behind it, but whenever I've tried to port forward using TCP only, it never worked until I selected "both".
