I'm controlling a bunch of these all over at a large site I'm working on and they are pretty easy to talk to.? I haven't found any issues or mistakes with the protocol manual.

The < and > are literal, and there is no extra delimiter after the ">" char.? A sample command should look like:
"< SET LED_COLOR_MUTED RED >"

Just open a TCP/IP client port to them on port #2202 and you should be good to go.? Another note, is that for control, you need to connect to the "control IP address".? I believe these things get 2 different IP addresses when setting them up, one is a Dante IP, and the other is a Control IP.? The Dante IP is specifically for passing audio between other Dante endpoints, and the Control-IP is for setup and controlling them with the API commands.? Pretty straight forward.

What Mark said. It's easy to control and pretty much anything you can do on the web interface, you can do from the API. To check your protocol, just connect using a terminal program and send the commands you want. If I remember correctly, you'll get lots of unsolicited feedback, so be prepared for that.

I have used these on a few jobs. They are pretty good.?
I could be totally wrong, but there are a few things I have found.
When using a stereo mixer you have to have 2 modules in place. one for the left output, and one for the right output. same goes for muting the outputs.
I have also had an intermittent issue with the built in "toggle" of a state, specifically mutes. I had one job where the mutes worked perfectly (BLU-100), and a second job where they didn't (BLU-180) so ?\_(¥Ä)_/?
I just used the Toggle symbol in Simpl.?

Thanks. ?Remember, I didn't write the initial implementation of this; I just fixed a number of bugs, got it all working, and then inherited the code from the original author. ?

I've put out all the source code on github because the limiting factor for me is going to be access to hardware to add new features to the code. ?Support for thermostats and door locks was partially written by the original author. ?I'm going to try and get the door lock code working with a z-wave module for a Crestron door lock that is being sent to me by Casey. ?

The code is out there so people that have a specific hardware requirement can enhance it to include that hardware .

There are a few BACnet PC programs that will let you see and change values. If the PC on that network can see them then..... Setting up the BACnet 'tree' correctly takes a bit or understanding of how the devices are arranged.

Phil - thanks for asking the question, and I think the sarcasm is a bit misplaced when not only does the spec on the Autonomic website not give the polarity, but it also doesn't specify the physical connector size.

I've been in precisely the same situation as you, and found out the hard way (after buying a suitable PSU which had the wrong plug dimensions, and then multiple attempts at different connectors, none of which would seat correctly) that the DC power jack isn't that easy to match.? From the info that sound.scan posted, it looks like it's a 5.5mm OD 2.5mm pin, so I may have another go now - but I ended up getting an ATX 4 pin power connector and connecting it up to the board (the connector is just behind the jack when you lift the lid) and using that instead as it's just for use in the office (it's easy to see the correct?polarity that way too).

With resi-model Samsung displays, I've had to resort to using 1-way IR.? IIRC, some use TTL-level voltage (0-5V) rather than standard RS-232 (-13V - +13V)
